Drones are not permitted to fly within 5 miles of a Class B airport. You can, with permission from the FAA, and it has to be scheduled, and by a part 107 licensed UAV pilot. I focus on many other places that are not within 5 miles of an airport with fewer restrictions.
Larry 336 only requires prior notice. 107 doesn't apply if all the 336 criteria is met (private pilot). I'm not sure if 107 was in effect in May of 2015. Anyhow thanks for sharing.
