Can you just leave them out in our hot sun if you don’t have a dehydrator?

It's better to be in the shade. The sun will degrade the quality of the herbs. The shade is hot enough!

Do the herbs need to be dried? Can they eat them fresh?

I have put in fresh herbs and they don't eat some of them until they are dry. Which works as well! I like to dry a bunch for winter use.

So you just use your marigold dead heads in their nesting bins? Any herb that wouldn’t be good?

And she is going to get cabbage worms…. Those little white butterflies are just flitting around looking for places to lay their eggs. And they love cabbages, greens, etc.

I do get a lot of cabbage looper moths flying around in the spring and fall. Thankfully I’ve been able to control them through physical barriers and spinosad. 😊
