Stars like Ms. Channing are a rare treasure; we are fortunate to be able to enjoy her singular talents, of which she's still very much in possession. Who, today, can command the stage the way she can? I got to see her on her final "Hello, Dolly" tour; it was absolutely delightful!
What an illuminating fixture to show business! Miss Channing, an icon, was one of a kind! An American Beauty Rose indeed! Her voice and s quite the legacy
Having seen shows at the Bowl several times, I know how TINY she must have been on that stage (despite the giant voice and smile) . Miss her she was great
I first saw her do this in 1961 as part of a wonderful revue called Showgirl. She did marlene, Judy, Brigit Bardo, Lynn Fontaine, Tallullah Bankhead and others. She was a wonder - not just the camp figure she was to become.
Call me crazy, but I always thought she was kind of pretty. By the way, has she had any plastic surgery? If not, I wouldn't be suprised, she's probably so fit because she never smoked like everyone else in her era, and she was a pretty good dancer.
Oh! I loved Carol Channing!!!

Triumphant show biz in every cell! What it means to be a star!
It's too bad that Carol never had a chance to star in a Kander and Ebb musical. She is perfect in this number!
Man, she could put on one heck of a show! She had this infectious happiness. I never could get enough of her.
A true American performer... one more great lady that makes this country shine!
She was wonderful!! And makes me smile!!

Wow.
BIG WOW
I want to be her when I grow up.
I was there that night, she started talking about the police because the audience smelled like marijuana that night. She's so cute!

Lol that could just be Ryan Stiles in drag
Oh! If she is only 86 she is not so fabulous after all! Only kidding. Thanks for the correction.
Oh! I loved Carol Channing!!!
