My Coleus grew over 4 feet tall in a 24 inch across pot in full west facing sun& Kansas heat in July, August & September . Upper 90s and 100s heat.
I did bring the pant inside to over winter. I trimmed them, & started many new plants & gave away as many as I could. I had 4 different types, & colors. This year I have plenty to start new pot & additional pots at my daughter.
The pots in backyard face south, 6 + hours of sun,

That’s awesome! People think I’m crazy when I tell them Coleus will take full sun.

@@BarefootBonsai some cultivars don't like full sun, but you're right, most of them can be hardened off to tolerate it or even thrive in it. I've grown some monsters in full sun that fell over and rooted the side branches where they touched the soil. It was Alabama Sunsets and some sort of Wizard Mix, I think. The Alabama sunsets are my absolute favorite.

They have to have wizard varieties there. Do you have Proven Winners brand plants? I know they offer a lot of varieties.

@BarefootBonsai if I can't get them over here, would you be able to collect seeds from your beautiful collection? I will pay you via pay pal for all your trouble, and you can spend on your passion of coleus
      Thanks

What if the plant becomes leggy with more stem than flowers?

@@purplepear8505 you can always trim back to the lowest leaves. It’ll start splitting on the top where the cut is just like when you pluck the flowers.
