Three favourite idents from SBS I would pick would be the variant at 14:34, the 10th ident and the 11th ident. The message on the 11th ident is powerful :'-)
Great video as always Jonty, and that vaporwave thumbnail is a bonus! More idents I never seen before, those being the slow zoom-out ident at 1:09 and variants of the seventh ident (2000-04). Couldn't stop laughing at the ident at 12:32. X-D The animations in most of their idents are impressive, especially the ones at 14:34 and 16:09; the Australian idents always bring a smile to my face because their idents are still creative in recent years. It was fun looking back on SBS' idents again since I made a video on them in April 2021, looking forward to your logo history on FHE... that one is going to blow up in popularity.
Thanks for watching! That variant you mentioned of the Channel 0/28 ident at 1:09 was actually from the day when they first broadcasted in 1980. And yes, the ident is 12:32 is funny XD *YEET* *hits camera* "Sorry!" "It's alright!" Those idents you mentioned do have amazing animation. Must have taken ages to do. I also think the idents from then 80s have great animation for its decade too. Pleasure to hear that you're looking forward to my next video, that one is definitely going to blow up!
Excellent ident history of SBS (Australia), Jonty! These idents from SBS, not only do have impressive animation just like TR3X PR0DÚCTÍ0NS said (in the case of the variant at 14:34 and the 10th SBS ident), but the 11th ident shows all of us humans that even though we're the same, we're all different. Which is really beautiful! :'-)
Thanks for the support once again! I agree with you and TR3X on the ident at 14:34 ...And the 11th ident is very inspirational. Stay tuned for my next logo history on Family Home Entertainment. That one will definitely go viral for sure because a lot of takes on FHE have been getting famous.
Interesting how SBS (0-28) was described as "ethnic television" back in the day. As a teen in the Eighties I remember watching " essa be es" for the nude scenes in the foreign movies.
Although Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) should be your last Australian ident history for now, "Network 10" will be the final Australian ident history to be finished until the whole pack is completed as a whole!
SBS is in Australia; before that, it was called Network 0-28 (which, at one time, had a very catchy theme song and memorable motto [Bringing the World back Home {also used when Network 0-28 was rebranded as SBS} [the animated globe and motto were retired in favor of of a more sophisticated logo]).
@@JontyMaster yeah you did well there ,here is the other ident i used to watch when i was 9 years old ua-cam.com/video/IyJy9DlWSpk/v-deo.html and look at the 9:55 mark
What are your favorite idents from this video?
The third (1989-93), tenth (2012-14) and thirteenth (2019-present) idents are my most favourites from SBS.
1980-current is my favorite logo

ALL for sure

4:52 Isn't that the Samsung Commercial Vehicles commercial? This reminded me of that.
Yes

SBS first broadcast as a proper channel in 1980
SBS stands for Special Broadcasting Service.
13:40 has stuck in my memory for years
I'm surprised you haven't done Network Ten Logos, at least not yet as it is the 5th and last one of the bunch.
That crocodile from the 90s literally made me pee my pants every time it came on! Shit scary stuff!
Don't say that bad words.
Nice logo history Jonty!

Is this the SBS in Shizuoka Prefecture, South Korea, or Australia?

11:37 & 11:47 - 20 Years Of SBS Television Idents (2000)
you missed one old boy,it was shown after a test pattern and started with an animated transmitter and radio waves.
What's more important is the fact that I featured most of the variants some were expecting rather than leaving them out. Interesting, though.

Nice!
I MISS SBS NITV AND JARJUMS :(
I quite like the "gore" idents from the Ninetees (4th Iogo) nostalgic from watching Motorcycle racing on SBS.
I would watch is NO/28! by the way since Australia says zero like the last letter of the word that's why I did that
@@BB-xx3dv so oo7?
Zero is more common now, except in phone numbers, times and years. Things have changed.
11:17 the globe was removed
Channel 0? Is this possible in broadcasting?
Yes
12:18 what does this mean
In South Korea copied SBS logo from 1985 witch used that logo but similar
Does anyone remember the segments like this in sbs. "The world is an amazing place" ?
18:22 18:29 18:37 18:45 18:56 18:25
SBS Isn’t The Same Without Robbie McGregor!
I couldn't agree more. It's a different network entirely now.

Feel wrong at the first thought: Korean SBS.
What's with the FHE logo at the end???
It's how I used to announce the next logo history, in which the next episode after this one was Family Home Entertainment.

jk
How?
If you hear the narrator saying "Megahertz." it sort of sounds like she's saying something like "Ni**ahertz"
@@JontyMaster Slightly, but nah.
@@nottimhortons Yeah didn't hear it. You've probably got to be really trying to hear anything like that.
I late
It's all good.
SBS USED to be a good network.
