The ground beef and rice dish looks awesome. Mandy In the Making makes a rice dish with one can of each of the soups and one cup of rice. Mix all together in a 8x8 dish, cover with foil and bake for 1 hour at 350. It's amazing. I'm so happy to see that you are not afraid to show yourself drinking alcohol and using it too cook with. Especially being a minister and wife. So many people would not have been honest and hid that away in fear of "offending" or turning off viewers. If they don't like it they just not watch!

I agree with you, I'm a pastors wife and people think that clergy don't partake in life. It's not necessarily the use of alcohol but the abuse of alcohol.

We eat a lot of cheese this household (of one), too. So much so that I bought Aldi's Cheese Advent Calendar! I also have my Mom's recipe tin and hers are written on the same little notecards with the wreath. Sometimes I look through them and think, "People ate some weird stuff in the 70's." LOL.

I made the French onion skillet- added more meat (because my husband craves it) and sautéed one diced onion and a little garlic once the meat was done, with some herbes de Provence. Forgot to add rice until after I’d put in the soups, but this is a very forgiving recipe and riffing on it is easy. I used sour cream, not French onion dip, because it’s what I had.
I served it up with green beans on the side. It’s so filling that stretching the meal with a few more simple veggie sides would make this a very affordable crowd-pleaser.

The traditional green bean casserole recipe does become a good stew when you use shredded beef, caramelized onions, mushrooms and a package of the Idahoan Hearty creamy potato soup mix. Use half water and half milk. No cans of soup required.

And 1 tbsp of flour. when chicken is almost cooked. Tip on that chicken - rather than paying extra for the pre-cubed chix breasts, when you bring home a tray of chicken breasts from the store, prep them yourself. Cube them up, put them in Ziplock bags and toss in the freezer. Much cheaper and just as convenient on the back end. :-)

Mine is not as extravagant as yours. 1 box Betty Crocker pound cake mix and for the water or milk I use eggnog, plus the butter and eggs it calls for. Couldn't be easier and everyone loves it.

Sooooooo I have to say : thank you!!!!!!!!
The day I watched this video, I had steak in the fridge that my husband was supposed to bbq, but he had just told me he had to stay longer in the office, and I had to come up with an idea 😂.omgoodness. I tried your sauce, well sort of, and it was delicious!!!!!! So good that my 16 year old even said to write it down!!! The thing is, I made so many substitution because we are dairy free, so I had to use coconut milk and soy (you know to make the half and half lol😅) , gluten free so I used teriyaki, tamari and coconut amino ,,,,and I didn’t have bourbon, so I used whiskey and I didn’t have brown sugar I used maple sirup…… yes, completely different but it was inspired by you!!!!! And sort of the same don’t you think?? 😂 And today I did it again, and I cooked broccoli directly into the sauce. This will be a staple in our house from now one lol. I had to come back to this video to Thank you!!!!!

I love one-pot-meals!!! Always enjoying your ideas 😊 Meat is very expensive and I tend to stretch it to the max. Also, it only qualifies as one-pot to me if the veggies are included, so this is what I do. Just throw in the green beans, the tomatoes, the peas, the broccoli, or whatever else and even those kids (or husbands) sneaking a bite can't help but get some veggies, too 😅
