+Rottensteam I wondered that, was he just having a dig at Ron for blocking Honda from sourcing Red Bull engines or was it a hint that RB were gonna get Honda engines in spite of Ron, I think the forma but you never know.
+Rottensteam Well if Red Bull agreed with Honda then they will become the new "factory" team as long as Adrian Newey is still in the background. Because honestly everyone knows that they still have one of the best chassis in the field that's why Mercedes and Ferrari don't supply them.
+Forza SV5 Yeah I understand that - but hasn't all the talk been about an evolution of a Renault engine for Redbull in 2016? I think that would make Ron happy and not mad for not having a Honda engine.
+Rottensteam I don't think so, because this year the Renault engine was better and Red Bull finished clearly ahead of Mclaren in both championship standings. So if Honda won't make progress it doesn't make any difference compared to 2015.
RB is bitching over Mercedes winning 2 WDC/CC in a row,yet RB won 4 in a row prior to the V6 Hybrid. Sure the grid needs to be more competitive, yes the cars need to be louder, yes there needs to be in season testing,Mercedes did nothing wrong other than spend more R&D on Hybrid Technology than any other team, along with having the best driver on the grid paired with another very talented and very underrated driver.
+Nicky_Projectz Christian Horner wasn't bitching about Mercedes itself he even said that they did a great job, he is complaining about the costs of the engines and the state of the sport in general, he couldn't help it that Renault didn't do what needed to be done to be competetive.
mr id You're right he wasn't bitching, however everyone knows hybrid technology is far from inexpensive. My issue with Horner is he's been complaining ever since Winter Testing 2014. McHonda had a horrific 1st year in this new new engine era compared to RB's 2014 season in which Ricciardo had 3 Wins,Mclaren didn't have a single podium and didn't come close to one,yet you don't see them causing stir in the fashion Horner is.
Nicky_Projectz apperantly the hybrid technology is expensive, wich isn't strange given that you have the turbo and wireing and things like software in a much compacter engine but it is too expensive still. Also he was complaining becouse he went from running a top team to running a team that isn't really competative without him really changing the recipe of the team. Mclaren knew that they where taking a gamble and that they probably wouldn't be competetive becouse it was Honda's first year, and to be honest Mclaren hasn't been a verry competetive team for years.
+mr id Mclaren didn't know that Honda was going to be this bad. They didn't have a hands on approach monitoring Honda 's development with the Engine, too much confidence in Honda rolling over from their prior partnership, this is well documented on behalf of Ron Dennis. Mclaren has been somewhat competitive maybe not the best car prior to the Hybrid Era but last time I checked in 2012 they finished 3Rd&4th in DC. They were competitive all through Vettel's 4year run as well.
Nicky_Projectz Mclaren was a bit on and off with results for the last few years, and I do think they knew that they where taking a gamble with Mclaren becouse the 'never change a winning team' approach wich almost always goes well in F1.
Thanks for all you've done all this season @seventytwobucks
Weren't RBR receiving engines for free?
..oohh that was a very interesting t listen to, i was waiting for a fist to fly...😄👏🏻🌟
Horners comment about Ron Dennis will not be happy about Redbulls engine choice? Why would Ron Dennis not be happy with it?
