You are right on point. I can't tell you how many ladies we have to turn away for just little things like, following simple directions. They take the RUSH process too lightly. It is a serious matter. I enjoy your videos.

Great video. My experience was a bit different in undergrad. my LB's and I were pledging or i mean going through "intake" before we went into the interview. We were prepped for the interview prior to us walking into the room. You are right though, that app needs to be DONE, and done right before you walk in that room, because they will expose you lol.

@@SheaMiller absolutely, they had me scared af in the interview; even though i knew all the answers lmao. Also, I am taking the LSAT on Jan 26th. Hey girl,thanks for the great advice! Question- When should I ask for LOR? If I know for sure that a graduate organization I'm interested in is having an Informational in a month, should I go ahead and discreetly inform the people that I want to write my letters to be prepared? I've done a lot of research of the organization and the chapter, have an updated resume, my personal statement is already written,practiced interview questions and money saved. What else should I do in the mean time? Thanks for any advice!

Hello, I’m very interested in joining an organization on campus I’m very nice to them I will say hello when I see them but I get a rude response back or likely no response at all.. How should I continue to go along with this process? Also when you say notarize? What documents need to be notarize?

How do you even know when the rush & informational session is? My school is so secretive about it
There’s usually a flyer of some sort posted around campus. I would definitely check any bulletin boards near the dining hall or another building with a bulletin board that gets a lot of foot traffic. (Maybe the campus library)
So is rush and interview ?
Should you try and stick with a pant suit and a blazer for interviews or is a dress okay? Or does it all kind of depend on what they tell you?

DO you have any recommendations if you don't have a suit to wear ? And is gray a bad color?
They’ll likely tell you the color. Mix & match, get a blazer & some pants or a skirt. Blazer for sure though. Necessary.
Buy a blazer and skirt. And wear stocking/pantyhose with your skirt. Wear black, white, or grey and NO sorority or frat colors.

What means more what’s on paper or how well your interview is?
Different things matter to different people honestly, so it’s best to have both on point.
I attend my rush meeting this Tuesday . Is it good to know the history of the organization for the interview process ? What advice you have for me because I’m very nervous ?
Check out the national website of the organization. I'd recommend to be familiar with anything available on the website. Good luck!

Does the application have to be notarized or was it just your chapter? They didn’t tell us to have ours notarized
My application wasn’t chapter specific, however, it’s important to read the entire application thoroughly, as they are updated regularly.
Shea Miller Okay thank you. I unfortunately didn’t get in during undergrad. I know that they will ask why I didn’t pursue it in undergrad. What would I tell them if I just wasn’t selected? 😩😂
What does it mean to have papers notarized? Is that a seal, stamp, signature...etc?
Yes it has to be signed by a notary public. Like a witness.

That’s their title. A “notary public”, thats the official who would have to do it. They have some who people have companies but people in school may be notaries as well. The registrar at my school was one and stamped & signed mine.

One of my close friends just called me about her experience at rush a couple weeks ago and told me they turned a lot of people around... I’m attending rush this Sunday and is their anything other then an incomplete application that you can get turned around for? I’m really anxious and don’t want to do anything wrong
Attire, professionalism, punctuality, etc. treat it as if it were a job interview or something of that sort. Relax, prepare yourself mentally, and walk in with confidence.

do you have to know how to walk in heels? because me & heels don’t get alone lol
Prolly depends on the org? Lol sometimes you’re expected to wear heels. My probate heels were kinda higher & we didn’t have an option lol.
what happens if you havent had any community service in part of the application process
I’ve personally never encountered someone who didn’t have any community service, so I’d recommend working on that ASAP. Cuz at that point, it would depend on what the voting members think.
Shea Miller ok i haven’t been in school for a long time i did my community service in high school and before i became pregnant cause I’m a mom and this is my first semester at the university I’m a junior coming in as a transfer... i saw on the application community service... it has been at least 2 years and the people i used to do community service retired or die. I will ask my questions when i go and what can be done .... thank you

Yes, all of that information regarding requirements for each particular organization is included in the application.

Nope, not as long as you have the time.
