Great video! We use two JD 9510r’s pulling JD 22 1/2 feet 512 disc rippers and a JD 9530 pulling a 9 shank case ih 2500 inline ripper, also a JD 8370r pulling a 7 shank Dmi in-line ripper
Always nice to see a quadrac working on tillage😁👍
😁👍👍
I remember riding in a International 5488 with my Dad when I was a kid and he was pulling a four shank sub-soiler in some new ground. We were going through the field and the track just came to an immediate stop and nearly stalled out before hit hit the clutch. After doing a little digging, he ended up finding an old propane tank that someone buried no telling how long ago.
Interesting story. The 5488 is a cool tractor.
@@bigtractorpower It definitely was a cool tractor, really strong puller too. They had a 7140 for a little bit but moved to the 55 & 60 series John Deere and never went back to Case IH.
I remember when the 8400 John Deere came out, a brand new demo showed up on the yard one day. I was in awe when I stepped inside the cab. As a kid it seemed huge compared to the sound gard cabs and the case magnums. That is still one of my favorite models ever made.
Another masterpiece. I am very grateful to you for spending your time and also sharing some of the exciting videos you make. The fact that you are very good at answering comments and questions from the viewers motivates the commenting a lot. Have a good day.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate so many other people are tractor fans. I try to answer as money posts as I can.
I like the shots from behind were it shows how the ripper is lifting the soil.
It is a cool effect to watch.
Another CaseIH innovation
😁👍
By the way, i love your channel. I watch it a lot .
Thank you for watching. It is fun to get to share all these machines.
Big machine 👍
Great tillage action
😁👍
We had a track marshal which couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding , great video

Bro how awesome can you get🙂👍👍
Idea: you are in the 1960s video. You should do a video of a tractor that was manufactured in the year that the BTP video number coincides with.
That is a good idea. I will see if I can make a few corresponding videos to match the video numbers from 1960-2000.
A lot of money in that field. Very nice operation.
Definitely lots of iron.
Hi Jason I am from up in Saskatchewan, love watching your videos lost different equipment. I think it would be cool for you to make a trip up to Saskatchewan and do some videos on some of the farms up here. The equipment and farms are massive from 3000 acres up to 50,000 acres farm. I think it would be really good videos.
Awesome video 👍👍😻
Good work
We run a case 580 quadtrac with a johndeere 2730 combination disk ripper. We run our 450 quadtrac with a Salford 35 foot vertical tillage tool. We run a johndeere 9510r with a krause 50 foot disk . We run a johndeere 8420 with a johndeere 2700 7 shank riper We farm 5200 acres plus custom farm. We normally have 2 machines on our land and the other 2 doing custom tillage and sometimes anhydrous application. We only till about 3/4 of our fields . We run a rotation for deep tillage by no tilling for 3 years and the fourth year we deep till . Our soybean ground we vertical till and when we plant corn on corn we will run the disk across those acres. Notill farming works but our beans yield 8 to 10 bushels more if we till corn yields 10 to 15 bushels more if we till but with the corn we can get away with not tilling as often . Keep up the good work !
That is a very wide tractor!
Only one ripper was on a carrier and the other 2 were hooked directly to the 3 pt hitch, why is that?
They have a 620 quad also which more than likely doesn’t have 3pt. It was broke down so just hooked another tractor up to. No need to take the time to switch it.
@@gregjames5070 That's probably why they pulled off the two outside shanks as well. Can't pull all of them with the 470.
like the green stuff-but love the red stuff
That's an enormous exhaust stack! Is that for exhaust aftertreatment business?
Yes. You actually can't see it from inside the cab though.
What's the largest inline ripper currently in production, and how many shanks does it have and use?
Is it easier on the 470 to pull that ripper with the cart than the 3 point hitch?
The caddy mounted ripper normally is pulled by a 620 Quad but that tractor was on another job this day. So they took two shanks off to make that drawn 2500 a 7 shank so the 470 could run it.
Enjoyed the video Jason as always!!😊 We use an 11 shank Blu Jet inline ripper pulled by a Challenger MT875E.
Pulled same ripperwith a 2870
Nice👍
Great
Thank you for watching.
Question: Can autosteer handle multiple tractors pulling different width implements in the same field? This is regarding the skipping of sections as mentioned earlier in this video.
Probably could if you went deeper in to the auto steer setting but it’s a lot easier if there all the same. That could be one of the reasons that they took two shanks off one of the rippers
Was that frost on the ground......? Great video as always
No frost. This was filmed in December. It was about 45 degrees out.
Those rippers are made up the road from where I grew up. The former DMI plant.
I miss the DMI blue.
The ranch I work on uses a combination of challenger ( 835 and 855 ) and John deere ( 8335 and 8360 ) for primary tillage.
Very nice. The 835 is a rare Challenger size. They did not offer it too long.
Do you have any videos on a nethern plow, they have a leaf spring not coil. It had only one wheel on the rear of the plow and was always on the stubble. there was a cable running from the frount of the plow to the back wheel.
I have not not. Sounds very interesting.
What are those tanks on the front of that big case track tractor? What’s in them and what are they for? I know, a stupid question .
Very good question. They a Chem Farm tanks. They carry liquid fertilizer in the spring when the tractor runs a corn planter in the spring. During fall tillage the tanks are empty.
@@bigtractorpower thank you for that answer . I kept looking at the comments to see if anybody else asked. I hope you keep doing videos as i also love tractors. But i am a poultry farmer, so i don’t have big hp tractors. Thank you again.
What is harder to pull, a ripper or a mold board plow? I am assuming the ripper.
I think that depends a lot on the soil conditions
Is this the same tractor that was applying anhydrous and driving grain cart from a video a few weeks ago?
Same style of tractor but that was a 420 Rowtrac.
big tractor
Sound like that FFPT diesel engine is on a hard strain in that case ih track tractor
Hi can you tell me the deep of tillage?
Yes it is 16 inches. I mention the depth in the video.
👍👍
😁👍👍👍
Ini lagi proses apa ini
Would you like to come film my 1981 john deere 4440 pulling a john deere 20 foot disk
The 4440 is one of my all time favorite tractors. Where do you farm?
@@bigtractorpower in north east Alabama
I am an hour north of Nashville. I might be able to get out that way sometime. Drop me an email at toytractortimes@gmail.com
@@bigtractorpower my email won't work so can I text you on Instagram
@@daltonrorex744 Man i hope you two can figure this out. I would love to see a 4440 on tillage.
What’s the tanks?
I mention that in the video. They are Chem Farm tanks used to hold nitrogen fertilizer that is applied when the tractors are hooked up to corn planters.
@@bigtractorpower thank you for replying even though you said it in the bud
In the past years Autoguide is done by the Eyes and Expirience.....lol...
I prefer the look of a jd quad track
The 9RX is nice.
Why a 400plus horse tractor pulling same ripper we pulled with a 300 horse tractor? This is a. Real question
It all depends on soil conditions and what other jobs the tractor is used for. This is red clay and they are running 18!inches deep. This tractor also runs a 24 row planter, 40ft air drill, 1,000 bu grain cart and side dresses corn through out the season. That 400 Hp is handy on many jobs.
@@bigtractorpower we ran in clay 18 inches deep in hills it pulled the 2870 hard but she pulled it. It was also turned up to350horse in line six not the Scania v8
Love you're videos
Are the farming operations really that large in that area? It seems like the equipment you feature from these w ky farms are ridiculous by upper midwest standards.
In some situations it can be that large, it is like this here in southern Indiana. I work parts counter for case
That's why its called BIG tractor power.
