I have a question about piping. Where the npt 2” pipe is going in the furnace.. on the back left on top (bigger of two holes), where do u get the long pipe? What do u search for? I needa piece thats long.
Hey buddy just come across your video on the Peerless boiler. I’m looking to buy a new boiler for my house. I was wondering if you would still recommend this brand
What kind of tools should I have by default to repair various common problems that can happen to a peerless boiler. Right now. My psi was maxed all of 3 times it fired. Just bought house. I opened all my radiators. I added water to it so it was at the normal level. Then I took water out after noticing psi gage. It could have already been thsy high. It said low water when I took water out to lower psi. So I'm like...fuck. I poked a wire through the copper pipe thst is the little box that regulates the psi. Nothing came out of the psi. And well after I did that. I tried firing it back up. But now it won't fire. Pilot light is lit. I shut power off to it for 30 seconds ect. But still nothing. There is a little circular thing that let's the air out of pipes thag was working also. Anyways I'm avoiding calling a plumber and determined to fix and keep it upkeeped myself. It's warm now but want to get it off bucket list. Holar at me if you could
Thanks for watching and I would Call an HVAC technician to take a look at the furnace as I am not an HVAC tech, I have had mine since 2017 so far no problems
My unit is also showing very rusty in the chamber door, the guy who serviced it last week told me to be prepared and perhaps I should replace it before next winter to avoid a surprise. I saw this boiler on eBay and the dealer is actually local to me, the online price shows about $2,283 total shipped to me, but I'd need to get a plumber to install it. The guy who serviced it told me his son installs them and that he would charge me $1,500 for labor. Wondering if I should go that route, here's the one online: www.ebay.com/itm/Peerless-WBV-04-WPCL-Series-WBV-Water-Oil-Boiler-Less-Burner-14-75-gal-156-MBH-/112114669461
I know its been in a while, got the same setup, aquastat, bla bla, doesnt your hot water tankless suck? Youll be allot happier with some hot water storage, i know i am when i added one in 2017.
@@mattfoley6082that’s not true. It depends on the demand on the unit. If you’re running 2 zones of heat, and hot water, and a dishwasher, you’ll have lukewarm water everywhere
@@mattfoley6082 that’s fair, and if you’re going to run on a coil youre likely going to want to upsize the boiler. It is reasonable to run on a coil for 1-2 people. But I noticed a very large energy savings moving to an indirect storage tank on my oil fired system as it limited the number of cycles.
Got the exact same boiler (Peerless WBV04) installed last summer. Never thought I be geeking out about a boiler but here I am.
Me too. Got in 11/20
I have a 1990 Peerless boiler that's still working. Annual cleaning and maintenance are the secret to longevity.
Pretty much.
That’s a very good unit. Should last a long time
Nice boiler.
thanks
The temperature and water pressure gauge on the front, what are the two readings supposed to display? Optimum water and pressure
Anyone know how to with just the water temperature setting on this?
Nice video. Do you have a water heater as well?
10thn18th no
How much did it cost to get installed? What did the unit cost? My old Peerless WBV-03 needs to get replaced and I’d like the same one. Thanks.
jjrock5 everything including installation was around 6 grand, how old is your boiler?
kruff39 was already here when I moved in 6 years ago.
jjrock5 ok

I am not sure about the piping because everything was already in place.
How's it working out? Getting one installed next week. Thanks for the video
Fred Simmons so far so good
Getting mine installed tomorrow. Pumped #grownfoke excitement
Fred Simmons Hey can you do a video of your new furnace?
kruff39 I'll do it tomorrow for sure

Yes I would recommend it ,I’ve had this boiler installed since 2017 ,so far so good in 2022
@@KeithsTVHD1 Thank you buddy I really appreciate
If I’ve been using an electrical water heater for water heat how do I switch to the peerless once it’s installed?
I am not sure.
what’s the name of your hydrostatic digital temp guage
"FuelSmart"
How much you paid to get the boiler replaced, labor and parts?
About 6 grand total
@@KeithsTVHD1 Thanks for the quick reply. I got a quote for $5,800 from this guy, but cash..... :-(

I dont believe its called a cold pocket, I think its called running out of hot water .
Max Stevens well the old furnace is gone and this one is wonderful.

geek2330 the service guys would tell me the same thing about the Old Furnace that I had in my house.

Yours may suck but not mines, I have no problems
Tankless coil is better than a tank because you never run out of hot water. if your tankless doesn't make enough hot water then something's wrong.

@@onlycanspyro Of course it depends on the demand. My statement is still true.
