- 2014+ Dodge Durango taillight water fix. Stop water from getting in your taillights by silicone sealing them. I only did this because I am way out of my factory warranty so if water messes up my lights, it comes out of my pocket. Music by Nelly “country grammar” instrumental version.
After it rained my rear turn signals went out but after drying up.. there back on.. I'm finna get on this A.S.A.P.. thx for being quick & informative 👍🏾

The RT has been great to me.. unfortunately, this drives me nuts that dodge hasn’t corrected it
I have a 2014 with the same problem This is insane, Dodge should do a factory recall since it's obviously a design flaw.

1jayteaszy you got it! I appreciate you checking out the video, I will get the track light video out soon. If you are getting water in there, take out one 10mm (the Lower bolt) in each side of the inside hatch. It helps

The water in my Durango is in the tailgate light. My taillights both had chips in them and needed to be replaced and I found good OEM tail lights on eBay for cheap. The tailgate light though was around $1,000
Mintygreen yea, bad design for sure! I just keep one 10mm bolt on each side of the tailgate off so that water drains out if it ever fills up.
Hey man, just noticed my race track is full of water... did the silicone on the racetrack keep the water from getting in? anywhere else I should silicone?? thanks bro!!!

Out on the inside of the each side of hatch? That will drain the water out. I would do that and then you could seal the edge of it. If the race track light is ok.. and still lights.. and you are not under warranty .. I would take the whole light off and seal around the entire litter edge.

i have a 2016 and i have the same problem i was wondering if that fixed the water getting in the light
Gustavo pallone yes, so I CAREFULLY drilled a hole as you saw, then I sealed the edges. Water has not gotten in since. I am going to do another video soon of me doing it to the center taillight section as well. Should get that done in November
yeah my problem is the middle light i did put silicone over on that one and maybe today ill take to the car wash just to see if it fixed

Gustavo pallone you took it off siliconed the whole center light? Also, don’t drill a relief hole on the track light .. instead take a 10mm bolt out on each side... ua-cam.com/video/d039ToupVb4/v-deo.html
@@LouieAWDTSi i only put silicone on the edge of each side of it but didnt have time to take all apart yet ,i was thinking to test it first to see if it got fixed.if not then ill have to take apart and seal the hole center light
