I passed through G terminal on my way to Sydney in September. I personally recommend the Elote fries from 1300 Fillmore. I also had a bad experience there, I left my phone in the bathroom stall just before boarding started for my flight to Sydney. I realized it after I got about 10 steps out of the bathroom, hurried back, only to find the stall was now occupied by someone else. It was busy and I had no choice but to awkwardly wait outside of it for several minutes for the guy to finish, all while other people coming in thought I was waiting in line, or just generally wondering what I was doing hanging out by the stalls like a wierdo. Thankfully when the dude finished, my phone was still there, and I made my flight. Worst 15 minutes of my life though.
I just recently went to the Philippines out of SFO after 30+ years, and hadn't been to SFO for a long time. It still is always quite busy outside the airport where people are being dropped off. I was shocked to see the boarding gates are downstairs. It felt so hot and claustrophobic down there, and everyone looks so grumpy LOL.
I flew out of SFO International terminal from the A Gates three weeks ago. Spent some time in the Golden Gate Lounge (not recommended). Flew back to Thailand, so always leave midnight to 1 a.m. from SFO.
That looks like a very nice international terminal. Although I've only been to the San Francisco airport twice so far, I have yet to go into that terminal.

I just came in A gates on Thursday (Hawaiian Air, AKL-HNL-SFO). Tip if you fly UAL domestic you can enter SFO from TSA at G gates and walk to Terminal 3 (no check luggage). Lines in the mornings are short, not at night though. I've taken UAL to SIN many times. Singapore is a favorite city that I try to visit every year. My new favorite is KL. I used to fly Singapore airlines years ago, then I found out all those flights didn't count toward UAL lifetime miles! I was trying to hit 1 million on UA.😒 I finally hit 1 million a few years ago and have lifetime status with UA. The nice part is I now fly any airline. Last trip to Auckland was cheap enough on Hawaiian that I could pay for a one class upgrade and had free month long layover in Hawaii on the way back(I'm originally from HI, my family is still there)! Other airlines charge you if you want to stay over along the way. It pays to shop around.
