i did this mod in my 2016 m235i about a year ago and yes its a great upgrade. # of boost is usually worth 10 hp.

So far how's the JB Plus up to this point since you installed it???
So far it’s been great! No issues and even tuned the dial up a notch.

any issues with the shifting? ive been reading about that being more choppy.
Yeah I’ve had an occasional hesitation between shifts.
@@CarGuy11I had to dial mine down to about 12 o'clock. It was too choppy at 3. 12 seems to be the perfect dial for my 435 with power kit
what position on the clock do you run? i’m running about 4 o clock cause i didn’t feel 3 o clock was that great

To play it safe, I only dialed the needle to 12 o'clock (+2psi), and did like a 40 - 80 pull, and oh man, it I definitely felt more of a push in those higher rpms. How has the Jb+ held up for you thus far? One concern I might have would the engine bay high temp damage the jb+ internals?

How does your 0-60 timer trigger at start?
It’s reads speed from OBD port so starts when it leaves 0 mph.
@@CarGuy11 are you on a decline slope and also is your speedometer set to true or like the UK it shows slightly higher for some strange reason? GPS shows true speed here which usually shows 80mph on dash around 74/75mph on GPS!
Can you run this alongside JB4?
No because it connects to same sensors. Not sure why you would want to.
Is this with the 1ft rollout or no?
No but also not completely level.
Ah okay so with 1 ft rollout I assume it would be 3.6ish with the tune and stock 3.8-3.9 correct?
@@SSH939 This was using launch control which ended up being slower. I actually did a run without it (not on video) and got 3.7s.
Yeah I heard lc on supras are pretty finicky. Better just to launch on building upto desired rpm and letting it rip. 3.7 is pretty good without 1ft rollout. With it you're running 3.5 seconds.
I just go to JB4 directly with my 2021 with locked ECU.
Yeah you can also trade in JB Plus for JB4.
Geez all that doing is doing is modifying the boost temp

@@CarGuy11FYI, Ando at BMS told me the JB+ can handle a couple gallons of E85 last week. Giving it a try on my '23 MT next fill up.
