- 🔪🔪🔪A quick ranking vid done by me - LetsCrashThisParade where I briefly discuss each of the Scream films from 1-4 and get a little into my general thoughts on each film. This is probably a very uncontroversial list I imagine? With the general order of these movies going from worst to best I imagine would be fairly universal? But maybe I'm wrong and you have a completely different order! I dunno! If you do let me know.. But yeah, generally as far as a horror franchise goes Scream in particular is noteable for running strong throughout, with only the 4 entries it never got to the point where it started to get too stupid for it's own good and now with some time having past and a 5th movie coming out - I'm hoping to get a great refreshed version of Scream come 2022 - Seriously absolutely cannot wait for Scream 5!!

My name's Jack Fitzpatrick @LetsCrashThisParade, I'm a 20-something-year-old guy who just loves to dabble in creativity. Film is an art form, one of which that I love to give my opinion on. But really, in a less a douchey way of explaining who I am; I'm a self-made and described film critic who strives for authenticity and professional level editing... I'm also someone who focuses on critiquing on an emotional level; I like story. I like characters, so I think you'll find that while I might not give a movie a bad name based on poor lighting or it's score or more technical details like that, I'll defintely tell you what I thought about it's logic and writing;... Matthew Lillard revealed a bunch of abandoned plans for Scream 3 on LoveLine. Prior to columbine, the original outline from Kevin Williamson apparently included a flashback sequence with _____ meeting the killers from part one, telling them his backstory and helping them orchestrate the murder of Maureen Prescott as well as the reveal that Stu was still alive, masterminding events from behind bars.
Maaan that gives me more hope for his return in 5 then. I hope he does but I've doubted it haha. That's really interesting thanks for the info. I'm planning to make more Scream vids soon btw
@@LetsCrashThisParade I'm excited to watch whatever you end up making. I remember seeing the original Scream completely unspoiled. I was 12 years old and 7th grade had just started a couple months prior, seemingly everyone had seen it opening weekend and were chatting about the garage door kill but they didn't describe it well so I kept waiting for this "dog house" scene that didn't exist. A buddy and I walked a few miles to the Kirkland Park Place Cineplex odeon, we convinced some adult and his date to buy our tickets for the 9 30 pm showing. Legendary! I even bought it on DVD immediately upon release, however it was a non amorphic widescreen transfer that kept getting ported to subsequent releases.
Is this a safe space for me to admit I’ve never seen Scream 4, the “new one”?

I know what you mean when you say Scream 4 is the "new" one for some reason I always think it was made within the last 3 to 4 years
Scream is one of those franchises where I always forget how ‘few’ movies there are. I know it’s a bit of a non-answer but I don’t think I have a favorite and rate them all about the same.
My ranking(I like all of them):
1. Scream 2
2. Scream
3. Scream 4

I think Scream 4 was a little darker than you think it is. It's my second favorite. I think it's better than most people do. Randy gets killed in Scream 2, and I find that the opening scene in the movie theatre is TOO over the top. I went to the 25th-anniversary of Scream (1), and NO ONE was getting crazy! I stabbed the person next to me with a piece of licorice and got NO reaction. So, Scream 2 was REALLY over the top. I love them all though. I even love the tv show. I think the first season was best, then 2 (...didn't bother with 3). It's coming back, though which is cool. Noah was a decent Randy. Do a video about the new film's teaser video, or something. Get to work! I smashed the sub button after all. You owe me! Thanks!
