2022 - Week 15 - Youth Festival Cycling Oudtshoorn & Mandela Day Activities

This week we showcase the recent Oudtshoorn Cycling Youth Festival where the Nedbank Sports Trust development cyclists from the West Coast Cycling Team and Western Province Team participated.
This 3 day event included, Criterium racing in the community, Road Racing and Team Time Trials at Highgate Ostrich Farm, and a Mountain bike event at the Oval Track.
This Youth festival creates an opportunity for all U19 age category cyclists to compete against other riders, supports mass participation and provides an opportunity for Provinces to identify talent, and assists with development and transformational goals.
In the second part we focus on the Mandela Day activities, where the youth were involved in various activities doing their 67 minutes for Mandela, Fixing potholes in Khayelitsha, bike maintenance activities in Kuils River and playing sport in Mitchells Plain.
