*Spoilers ahead.* They should make a sequel called "Mr. Glass," where he escapes and gets seemingly captured by the unbreakable man. But it was all part of his master plan to destroy that godly image of his. It wouldn't require that people saw the first film, which is always profitable, Shaymalan. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
In unbreakable it focuses on that guy in the trailer and in split it is with a guy with split personalities and in glass it’s with all three but includes mr. glass
If you include The Dark Knight in 'current' super hero movies, then yes that's deep, as is Man of Steel (yes, by Zack Snyder shock horror!). It's interesting how some want a return to 'fun and lightness' in these type of films because they're tired of 'dark n gritty' realism, but others want just that. Also, M Night and Christopher Nolan get a pass for doing superhero films that take themselves seriously while other directors (like Bryan Singer) get hate for trying the same thing, even though X Men came out in the same year as Unbreakable.
Ochoga Problem is, you've got groups who always complain "why do superhero movies have to be serious/dark/gritty?" even if the film is a barrell of laughs 80% of the time.
Unbreakable is a master piece movie. What really amazed me was the way it is was directed. Watch carefully the camera movements and the shots and you will realize this movie is not like others. Acting of Samuel Jackson was superb.
I seen Unbreakable 17 yrs ago in theaters when I was 19yrs old now fast forward I'm 37yrs old watching Spit and waiting for Unbreakable part 2 which is titled "Glass" & comes out 2019. Funny how the universe an good movies go full circle lol
He tried to ignore the "sadness," but his son wanted his dad to be true to himself! When his dad rescued those children and the newspaper had the story of the rescue as the headline, he showed his son and his son cried! Just wonderful! Awesome movie!
I enjoyed this movie so much . I think this is truly one of the best super hero movies made. I liked the fact that they kept David's gifts realistic but special. You could believe his ability's were possible and yet they were extraordinary. I liked that he like every other super hero also had a weakness . You could believe Elijah's theory was possible because it made sense and worked within the idea of Yin and Yang or balance in the universe . The twist at the end was surprising to me, I should have seen coming but didn't .
This movie just made me speechless. It is so original, so moving, so well made...i can't explain how i felt after seeing it. You must watch it for yourself.

Years ago I watched this movie thinking, "Man, that was a weird movie". After I watching Split and Glass I now know that M. Night Shyamalan was just trolling us because he needs the time gap to be 19 years in the future, so he can match the timeline of the story.
This movie strikes a chord with me. I have walked out of a few accidents I probably shouldn't have. One of the worst, and strangest was when a huge Tenoner machine came off its mountings and toppled over.( at "Aussie Furniture" in Adelaide) It hit me in the chest, and smashed me into a pack of MDF sheets that was behind me. caught between 1.6 tons of timber (full pack) and the weight of the machine on my chest. I went straight through the pack backwards, sending boards everywhere! It had a domino effect, knocking over a Lacey sander, and destroying half the workshop. I walked out without a scratch! Standing there VERY shaken, on top of the rubble of broken boards and shattered cast iron from the tenoner as it hit the ground. Still cant explain it- just glad I walked out!

This is a superb trailer. They don't make enough like this. Usually nowadays it's a synopsis of the whole movie, with all the best surprises spoiled. This simply sets up the very intriguing premise in a way that makes the viewer curious. That's all a trailer needs to do, not show the whole movie. And there's no bait and switch. If you enjoy this trailer, it's very likely that you will enjoy the movie. It's in the same spirit. It's a sample of the storytelling. I love the movie and am very impressed by this trailer. I expected something unimaginative that doesn't show the appeal of the film at all, but this really plays to it's strengths. I don't think I could have cut a much better trailer, this gives you a perfect intriguing sample of what's in store. I don't think many of those who want to see the film after this will be disappointed.
