Also to optimize performance if in a not free spacious environment is to make it lie flat can be done through the dish settings, this way it doesn't face magnetic South if in the southern hemisphere so as to optimize performance.
Getting 250mbps max download and about 20 up. But on average I get 150-200 download and 15mbps up in Eldoret. When testing speed test, show us the obstruction map for us to understand how clear the sky is. And btw clouds and rain has no effect on the dish. Only obstruction like buildings and trees does
Brother, good content and it is educational. But, Manzeee!! Let the next starlink video show us it has been permanently installed and used, as well as what speed you receive, especially when doing hardcore games, or just drop a whole entirely different video.
Brother, test speed by downloading or uploading a file. That kind of test it always looks great for the internet until you go download a file will take time. So, how many minutes will it take to download a 1gig? Either via chrome, IDM, uTorrent etc.
You didn't have to buy the roaming package if you are going to use it on the same continent. In the residential package there is a functionality to change your address. I'll actually be moving with mine from Machakos to Makueni
@@African_joshtrue performance isn’t optimal in high dense areas, in fact, Starlink is currently at capacity in Nairobi I’m on the Standard plan, changed my service address to Sagana & had to wait 2 weeks to get a slot back in one of the Nairobi cells I considered switching to the Mobile plan till I found out you can’t revert back to the Standard plan & I wasn’t open to committing to 14K p/m

I’ve discovered that in an urban and saturated area starlink will prioritize the residential package over the roaming package in terms of speeds mostly on downloads but the upload speeds are basically the same
@@African_josh buying starlink in Nairobi is useless now since the website clearly says Nairobi is saturated. The dish is designed for rural areas. Anyway you get what you buy.

Wow I envy you , those speeds are so ideal even for a content creator , next time I do a video I’ll show the obstruction map

Where can I purchase it am in Nairobi
You don’t have any roof ?
Starlink Ground Station might be now online, please may you confirm bandwidth and latnciy
I’ll try out new Speedtests and latency test
Does that latency affect voice calls and gaming?
Also how does it fair during really cloudy weather?

When you move please tell me how it goes I’m curious
Gen 2 isn’t affected by cloud cover as much as Gen 1. The disruptions are way less
Nice , I recently learned that I’ll get better speeds in the country side where there isn’t Starlink saturation

Hello?
Does the starlink affect the DSTV signal if it is in close proximity?
I doubt that although I don’t have a DStv

Ulibuy wapi.
I bought mine from Sam K +254 745 864 474 he is currently offering a 1k discount for all my subscribers just tell him josh sent you

Use the Ethernet adapter and a WiFi 6 router trust me your speeds who’ll be faster I only got max 173 but with WiFi 6 hitting 300-400
I’d love that new tech for sure , but at the moment can’t afford it, I have a simple router, waiting for my Ethernet adapter to come
