Some just flat out copy and pretend they are the original, others imitate and are honestly acknowledging M’s influence. It’s great to watch Lolahol grow as an artist in as much of an organic way as possible (all things considered). I also really enjoy the music which is similar to what I used to listen to in the 90’s & she does it well. Take Solange Knowles as another example: while Solange definitely has her own fan base and is successful singer in her own right, she is hardly on Beyonce's level of stardom. Being a celebrity's sibling or offspring only pushes you to the front of the line, but the public ultimately decides whether we want what they're offering.
I like the work ethics to be low key and discrete with her music endeavour so as to experiment and develop as an artist first before going on all the commercial platforms with a ‘Madonna’s daughter’ marketing. She could so easily to that, but clearly she’s listening to her mum and, judging by the Frozen references in this, she’s also her student.

What I love about this is… she is her mother’s daughter. Madonna is an ARTIST before anything else and this music and the video isn’t something you’d typically hear. It’s different because the artistry of it is more prominent and a focus. This has been wonderful being able to watch Lola grow and become the woman she is. The homage was beautiful!
