We're staying up. We were very fortunate to have such tough opening fixtures. Mousinho is just getting to find something like his best eleven, and we have winnable games coming up as the squad starts to gel. Hopefully the first win will come soon and we can avoid too many injuries.
Much better performance from the lads today. I thought we looked a lot more solid defensively and nice to see us get through 90 minutes without conceding any goals. The whole team played well but I have to give Norris a mention here. Sometimes his distribution isn't the best and could be a little better but he really stepped up when we needed him today and pulled off some terrific saves. That one from their headed effort in the first half was pure class. Shame we couldn't win it but it's a point at least. I'll take that and hopefully we can use it as a springboard to get going now and go on a good run. I think next couple of games now against Stoke and Oxford will be key. Winning both will be a real confidence booster for the lads. I reckon we'll be alright this season. UTB 🔵⚪🔵
A point at home against Sheffield United, considering the last few results, I'll happily take a stalemate at home to the Blades. Here's hoping we'll use this performance to improve and start climbing the table, PUP. 🔹️🔷️🔵💙 #Pompey
We are definitely turning a corner and finding our feet. Well done to Mous and the lads for that, but we still look a bit lightweight up front though, which is worrying. A work in progress, but I trust the manager to get us going. Just glad this very difficult run of fixtures is over and we have some more winnable games coming up because we really need to start winning sooner rather than later.
We are defensively SO much better. Whole of the back four was excellent. Swanson had a superb game & very impressed with Farrell. This wasn’t a bad performance at all. We just need to be quicker moving the ball through midfield to the opposition box & the openings will come. Ogilvie & Saydee are clearly struggling at this level.
Good performance today. Still a bit of a goal problem but we have stoke next Wednesday and that’s a game where we really should be looking for those three points to get the ball rolling.
Stoke, Oxford and QPR will all be expecting to beat Pompey. It ain’t gonna get any easier. Better defensive display but we have nothing up front. Very worrying how we are so lightweight in attack. Were we really relying on just Bishop for this season? Losing Kamara was a disaster. ☝🏻
Pompey will beat better sides than Oxford this season. Entire recruitment team needs to be binned off though, they have really messed up big time with the lads they brought in. Barely any championship level players came in. And apparently the money is there. Need a decent January transfer window for sure
The management wasn't prepared to pay £3m for Kamara, which, if they had offered as the season finished, Norwich were likely to have accepted. But it seems to me that they are trying to run a Championship team on League 1 money. It isn't possible. Most of the teams have a squad of almost twice the value of ours (£17.5m). The highest value being £165m with 4-5 teams worth over £100m. What chance do we stand? realistically?
When I saw the recruitment Pompey had done i feared for you. But looking at it you will have enough to see yourself safe. However you have recruited some really poor players and you will need to ship them on super quick if you want to challenge for promotion next season. I would sack the director of football and recruitment team.
As a blades fan ....good game great atmosphere. Pompey a proper football club with a good upcoming manager

I thought Swanson had a great game today, too. Didn't get a mention from Mous, so I thought I'd mention him here. The whole back line was immense
Both full backs were fucking brilliant

Very well played to both sides. Good game. Confident about our next few fixtures.
Good result, wins will come. Difficult games and plagued with injuries. I truly believe in a mid table/top half finish. PUP 🔵
Farrell could have won us the game. I think good times ahead. We aren't doomed. A long way to go.
He would have been an instant hero.
Swanson looked very good and stronger which he needed to be. Good point.

Great signing Farrell unlucky not to score proper left back pup

Exactly. We might get a win against Oxford but others will be very hard.

Are defensive play is a lot better now we need are strikers to get goals then we will be able to climb up the table

Yeah, the lack of goals and a potent striker is worrying.
Where's our Merson? And the other's that were in that team? Do we have that calibre? No. Merse was a free transfer.
We haven’t win a game yet
Keep struggling on. Not a decent side yet.
