I de-friended a Chinese guy after a trip to Japan with him and a mutual friend. He only went to compare Japan to China and declare, again and again, how much better China is in every way. Anything that was different he made fun of, even though I thought these things were actually better in Japan.
At Meiji Jingu, he pointed and laughed out loud at an elderly Japanese man who was praying at the shrine, causing many people to look and stare at him. He was constantly drawing negative attention and pushing me to anger. Immediately upon returning to China, I removed him from my contacts and blocked him.
I really, really can't stand nationalists.
Don't know if you aware, but modern Europe is the same most of the times, nationalists there behave like this, vandalizing too, wishing death to neighbors they dislike etc. Nationalism in 21 century is really strange, destructive and bad, but people here and anywhere else look only at China, Russia, USSR etc., that's unfair!

Every country that I went to, every tour guide that I met said that China has the worst tourists
It is true. Was sitting with my wife in a restaurant in Bali. An older Chinese lady came to our table just staring at us for 2 minutes like if we were aliens or something.
Unfortunate this is a fact
@@dropkickmonk3y lmfao
I've worked for 2 and a half years in a tourism company in Turkey as the digital marketing executive from 2015 to 2017 until the company went bankrupt because of the crappy events that's been happening in Turkey and the entire tourism sector went into shit. While we were still operating, the vast majority of our guests were Chinese. I have been on the tour buses and travelled with the actual tourists to understand the entire business model and observe the business in action. Most of the tour guides I've talked to would absolutely agree that the Chinese tourists were not the best kind of customers they'd like to work with. However I have not seen any group that's being collectively destroying or vandalizing anything. There were of course one or two disrespectful and annoying people on a 30+ people group and I've been to over 15 tours with them. They are mostly just people in every kind. There are polite, rude, respectful and disrespectful Chinese people as there are people from any other nation. But China is big and out of more than a billion people, there'll be more assholes than out of 300 million people. If we had a vandalizer in our Tour, we would stop report that person to the police and have that person arrested. Like every foreigner who breaks the law in China must face their Law, every Chinese foreigner must also face the law in the place they broke it and it's up to us to report any foreigner who breaks the law. These people have a vast network in we-chat. If you make an example, they'll spread it in WeChat and newer tourists or students will try to avoid it because they won't want to get arrested. Don't get me wrong, I'm not paid by CCP or anything, in fact I think Mao Zedong may just be the worst person to have ever existed. And CCP sucks. They're responsible for all the shit the world has been thru during the last one and a half year. And they are so bad that they even try to point fingers at America and blame others for their own mistake. But the People of China should not be discriminated because of there are Chinese people vandalizing. Just have the ones that do it arrested. And believe me that is the only solution.
Worked at a bank where a hundred different people came in daily. Some of the Chinese foreigners were incredibly rude.
Mao Zedong drove my father's family from Guangdong, China into Cambodia. He massacred much of my family and strategicly made the ones who stayed suffer. Chinese now worship him, but forget what he did. Because of him, I never will be able to communicate with my lost family, who are forever separated from the ones who fled.
Mao zedomg also supported the khmer rouge.... giving them aid, supplies and guns so that a quarter and a half of my people were then massacred at killing fields including family from my dads side and forcing my mums family into thailand. Because of that alot of cambodian culture, customes and ways of life are forgotten.
That's horrific. I hope you're doing well, buddy.
@@dianguan7462 fair point, however it is well known that Zedong killed and committed crimes againt Buddhist Chinese. My grandfather was a Buddhist chinese and even though he died in the genocide, he was able to tell my aunt that he had fled China because of Zedong and that his familly either was killed or fled. I guess thats all the proof i have for my familly's case. There is also plenty of proof online that doesn't rely on my grandfather's word. Also I understand if I came off as whiney, but its pretty annoying when a government misleads their people into worshipping someone who tried to kill many other innocent peoples and my own bloodline.
I hope your doing well brother!
😢 sorry for your loss freind its time the CCP are over thrown
When I lived in the USA I worked in a hotel for seven years. I dealt with people from all over the world on a daily basis, and it didn't take long to see that Chinese mainland tourists who came in groups were by far the worst kind of people I have ever encountered. They were noisy, rude, selfish, didn't respect the rules, insisted on their rights and made trouble wherever they went. They smoked in the lobby, threw cigarette butts into the fish tanks or stepped them out on the carpet. They smoked in the elevator. They propped their room doors open (which are supposed to stay closed) and ran in and out of the rooms of fellow Chinese, yelling all the time. They wouldn't move to let other guests pass, practically taking over the whole floor. Guests would ask to change rooms because they couldn't stand the racket. When I tried to control them they'd completely ignore me, they would look through me and act as if I wasn't there. Horrible people.
If you want to find out about how people behave, talk to the maids who have to clean the rooms after the guests left. I did. They were cursing the mainland Chinese, most of them being Filippinas, Vietnamese or Korean. I saw rooms full of trash, packages and wrappings from things they bought, food leftovers and even half eaten fruit on the floor. I couldn't see the carpet for everything they must have dumped where they stood. Wherever I looked it was a desaster, the bathroom and even the balcony.
These people behaved like animals, there's no other word for it.
When groups of 40 or 50 Chinese were expected to check in or out, we needed extra staff to take care of the chaos. It's faster and way easier to check in 40 Japanese than 10 Chinese. Sometimes the whole hotel came to a standstill until they were finally gone.
Chinese from Hong Kong or Taiwan were quite different, they spoke English and were way more well behaved.
I'm Chinese/Euro. mix, American born & raised. In my 67 years I've decided that there's no better place to live than the 🇺🇸 USA! This is reinforced by the fact that people from all over the world have wanted to come here to live since it's founding and have taken great pains to do so, including my forebears. It hasn't been a perfect country but that's because it's made up of imperfect PEOPLE. But for most of those who have come here & their descendants it's lived up to there hopes. I've noted that many from other lands understand the opportunities here better than many native born Americans.
I will NOT TOLERATE the intentional or unintentional actions of ANYONE seeking to degrade & destroy this country! We have tolerated many an insult in my lifetime but ALL efforts to bring down this nation must be cosidered, by each freedom loving citizen, to be an act of war against their home! That includes(though is not limited to) the actions of nationals from Communist China! They will not let ANYONE freely come here who isn't willing to do ANYTHING their govt. demands of them. Therefore EVERY Chinese national who comes here is at least a POTENTIAL CCP agent!
For the good of our country and to send a clear message to the CCP, we should expel MOST Chinese nationals from our borders and closely monitor those who remain!
Oh Filipinas? im very sorry, i just want you to know not all filipinos are like that, as a filipino usually our people would be respectful to other cultures, and we usually get happy when it comes to meeting foreigners, even i get happy when i see foreigner in our country, i dont know why perhaps its because its usually rare to see foreigners, and that its nice to see them having a good time staying here.

The sparrow killing, the backyard "iron forges". I can never figure out if Mao was pure evil or pure stupid.
Why not both?
While a young revolutionary, Mao was once asked by a western journalist to describe himself. Mao said he was a "man without gods and without laws". Namely this guy is a lawless, freaking criminal. Rest of his life showed what kind of power crazy criminal he indeed was.
All of the above
He learned fucking nothing. He could formulate ideas on carrying out revolution all day and then be unscientific in creating policies for his people, not even consulting Soviet scientists if it would be a good idea to create an ecological imbalance or to make people smelt their own iron. He only knew Marxist, Leninist and Stalinist writings.
Do not attribute stupidity for malice
Let me tell you, as a German, I stand in awe of the cruelties this dude inflicted upon his own people. And believe me, we know a thing or two about benevolent dictators.
@Deftie hhahaha had to laugh out loud as I read that xd Well, he tried and we know what he meant. :P
I also stand in awe, when I figured out who brought those ideas to China, Russia, and now America.
what did you mean by this
@@darkfippy Pretty simple. Go look at who was behind the creation of communism and the weapon of marxism they like to use in multiple nations. Who brought the ideas and support to Mao? The same people own the banks, media, music industry, big pharma, big tech, government lobbies and most NGO's in America. The same game over and over. Once, you figure it out... keep going back as far as you want... even to the bronze age if you like.

Strangely enough, by not burning the poster its more powerful than actually burning it.
He burned him with words
I was worried that he actually will burn it, but I am glad that he refused to sink down to the same level. I have seen many comments wishing to just get their bloodlust satisfied, and their end game is to just see Chinese people suffer, without realizing the irony that they have become the spiritual bastard child of CCP in their pursuit against the CCP.
Winston, was this the video that started UA-cam demonetizing your channel?
Not necessarily! One could reasonably justify BOTH. Send me the photo and I will burn it! its just a photo, isnt it? there are thousands more like it! Before people try to erase you, they attack your institutions and philosophies. They try to discredit them, and should you complain they say "why are you so upset, its only _______! I didnt actually hurt or kill anyone" But those same people should you offend them in some way, act like you punched their mother! they are hypocrites but they are evil-smart ones! they get to debase you, but wont let you defend yourself! This is how they wear people down. Civility and respect flows one direction until they get you to submit, just because you are tired of the gaslighting and abuse! Hell NO! they want to be assholes, sometimes you have to be an asshole too! They ONLY understand emotional violence! I understand it sounds cruel and vengeful. But when you appreciate the dark psychology behind what they are trying to do, then it is a form of self-defence. Winston seems to understand it on a macro level, but he is too good of a person on the micro level. Laudable! but this will make him susceptible to ALL the micro-aggressions they will dole out! i would feel bad about offending the average, decent Chinses person, but for these political clowns, they need this 'punch in the nose'! they cant be reasoned with the way we can! think of it as a form of self-defense!

And most artists respect stickers of other artists. I saw a sticker of the Dalai Lama doing a Hail Hitler salute and under it was a text imply he was a facist. And even this was left untouched. But when I was checking out sticker art in Shinjuku last week... all of the Hong Kong - revolution of our times sticker were damaged... scratching out the message. They are afraid of people knowing the truth maybe? Just an interesting observation on my recent trip to Japan.
It's hard imagine how they can hold their heads high. The fragility and double standards seem so obvious.
This is the kind of control the CCP wants to have over the Chinese people. In the 60s they successfully got the whole country to go fiercely against anybody the CCP or Chairman Mao didn't like, be it a historical figure such as Confucius, or someone from their own camp such as Deng Xiaoping, or the west. Those people who followed the CCP religiously back in the 60s later realized it was a big farce. So a lot of them wouldn't be easily instigated later in their lives. But the young generation didn't go through any of that and they're much more prone to the indoctrination of CCP's views at school. Likewise, had Hitler died in the early to mid-30s he may have gone down as a great reformer and the man that lifted a downtrodden Germany from the ashes and turned it into a world superpower. Of course, that couldn't happen because the Empire would never have allowed a united Germany to threaten their global hegemony, and the Germans understood from their egregious treatment up until that point what was at stake if they lost.

Hi Winston, best regards from Lithuania! Love your shows, they are awesome! Anyhow as a catholic and Lithuanian I feel the need to comment a little bit about the hill of crosses that you mentioned in this video. Actually it is not essentially a place for religious people to say their wishes (although it is perfectly OK to do this), but rather it's significance is more of the memorial kind.
Long ago Lithuania was occupied and heavily exploited by the imperial Russia. So there was an uprising for freedom in which so many Lithuanians died, that their families have filled this place with crosses for them and for their hope that one day free Lithuania would be resurrected like Christ was.
Anyhow, what's interesting in this context is that during the soviet occupation, communist government hated this place with a passion! There were guards placed here, but people would still find way to bring their crosses there. So they started to destroy the site little by little and much like this lady, they have thrown away like 2/3 of these crosses, so the place is not as big as it used to be. They have even devised a plan to sink this place under the water by building the dam on nearby river... Yet they did not prevail and Lithuania is now a free country once again! I sincerely hope that in the long run CCP China will not prevail against Honk Kong.
A beautiful sentiment
This is very interesting. Thank you!
Thank you for your beautiful comment! As a Cantonese very close to Hong Kong and witnessing the strangling of its freedom almost every step of the way now, I really hope so too.

before i start i want to add to the Australia thing some Chinese had been making chinese police car replicas and parking them around the city walking around in chinese uniforms and issuing commands to both westerners and hong kong students at rallies the police could not do anything about it because they technically weren't doing anything illegal as they weren't imitating Australian police but it was viewed as China disrespecting the sovereignty of other counties
this is late but you're correct about mainland chinese and their behaviour overseas i have so many different stories from elderly Chinese coming onto my property to pick flowers or look through my windows to chinese students near rioting because universities teach actual history and not Mao revisionism but there's one thing they do that has made me have a lot of contempt for Chinese actually two things
in my country Australia they cause many shortages of goods by bulk buying things and not allowing locals to purchase them they are then sent over to china and when new laws are written to prevent this instead of saying "well maybe we shouldn't be doing this" they instead default to "well these laws are racist i'm not going to follow them" only just yesterday federal police raided and confiscated a warehouse stocked with medicine toiletries and pantry basics that are in short supply and they weren't bulk orders they were individual items from super markets what they do is to get around purchasing limits they will hire 20-30 person coach busses and go into supermarkets and buy up everything then move onto the next town and do the same thing
the other thing is they have no respect for anyone's culture in Australia we have heritage buildings some of these date back to 1700s they can't be altered or torn down and it is made perfectly clear to the buyer that they cannot demolish it what Chinese will do is buy it and say i understand it cant be torn down then at some ungodly hour will get Chinese owned construction companies to come in and demolish the building and just pay the fine because the way they think is that if the building is gone then no one can do anything about it and they will be allowed to build apartment blocks
this went on for years and still happens but not as much because the laws changed now there's 4 year minimum jail time and you have to rebuild the structure using as much period fittings and facades making it incredibly expensive and time consuming
As badly as America and American politicians are in thrall to the CCP, I am really glad we do not have Australia’s problems.
Your nation has been bought and sold, from root to stem, to *actual enemies* of the west who hate your country, hate Western values, and see us as nothing more than a larder to steal from.
