According to Brian S. Curley, the bass player in the video, this show is from June 1983. Evil Hook Wildlife E.T. was the name of Roky's band at this time.
The dancing people looks like zombies. The kind of their dancing. When time travelling would be possible I would travel to this day and wouldn’t Dance. I would listen with wet eyes. Enchanted.
Those kids... well they are doing the best they can, I guess. Gives me flashbacks of being in that sort of world when I was really little. Mom and dad were drinking, usually. Mom would find a bed before dad because he was also using heroin. I just wanted to sleep with mommy in a safe bed. Didn't know or care if she was passing out drunk, at the time. I loved hearing dad's music, whether it was him playing, his friends, or as he got older what he played loud on the speakers at parties at home. But we would get tired and over it at some point in the night...it just sounded like noise.
Post Vietnam War military industrial complex blues... The father who used to live in the apartment I'm in now flew young men's dead bodies back from Vietnam in helicopters... We need healing for all of the oppression and violence our societies have been put through because of man(un)kinds greed and fear of death...
Amazing this even exists. A treasure .

reel koole as per 🎸👽🎸
cool!
though the overall sound is quite bad, it's astounding hearing Roky's guitar parts quite clearly
This is 1980? There's a ZZ TOP song playing in the background that wasn't released until 1983.
Yes, this is not 1980. My band, the Explosives played with Roky from 1979-1982,
Yes, this was established to be from 1983 in a previous comment from 2 years ago
This is not at Soap Creek in 1980.
Don't blame me Freddy, I just titled it from what was written on the side of the VHS tape I got from Mike Buck
Also the person taking the video says "June 1st Soap Creek"...
