Um. Wow!!! Kudos on design and specs. Electric IS the future of rec boating.
I like the towing tank style livery
Awesome 👌
500+ hours of testing, 20 minutes at a time.
What is the price?
Speed ?
What is purpose to lift Height ?..
less drag
Less drag more efficient smoother ride
Reduced contact area with water. Less friction. Less energy required to achieve a particular speed
Less drag to a point!
Cute until you hit rough seas
Depends how rough obviously. There's a range of chop height and even chop over swell where the foils really smooth everything out. There is of course a point where the chop is aggressive enough where it gets more complicated. These modern foil borne boats have ultrasonic sensors feeding in to flight control software so swell can be compensated for. And if you're not trying to maintain maximum speed you can always fly lower so you reduce the risk of foil ventilation
Need to make this with a gas engine...Electric components and salt water are a disaster waiting to happen
Electric motor have been used for decades for everything from ship propulsion to trolling motors. There is no problem with motors that isn't the same for engines. And is likely the opposite. The engine needs cooling water. Which is normally done with raw water as opposed to closed loop.
There's issues with electric boat propulsion. Corrosion isn't one of them.
