Posted this in other Robin tributes before. I had the sheer pleasure & joy of meeting this wonderful soul on my one & only extra work in his movie Man Of The Year. A seasoned extra saw it was my first time & kind of took me under his wing & helped my understand what to expect. At the very end of the day around 11:30 PM as Robin was leaving he came over, shook the hand , asked the name & how each & every extra there enjoyed themselves. It was an experience I cherish even more since his passing. Hard to believe it will be 5 years. It was the first celebrity death I cried over. Bangerang oh captain my captain, See you in Neverland !!
Wow man...just wow...A world without Robin Williams. It just seems darker now. He used to make so many people laugh and smile. One of my favorite of his movies was Mrs. Doubtfire. I'll never forget it. And Jumanji. I loved that one. I loved him in Hook and as the Genie in Aladdin. And Death to Smoochy. I grew up with this guy. Now he's gone and the world seems darker. He was like a star in the night sky that made things better. Now the star is gone and the empty space it left won't ever be the same. You'd just miss the light it gave and are left feeling nothing but with regret. Could we as fans have done more to support him?
so heart broken cant believe he is gone but what a true talent and inspiring man he gave the world a lot to laugh and smile about he will be truly missed may he rest in peace... God has taken another one of his angels home to be by his side
RIP Robin. Its devastating to see that you're gone, because it feels as though a part of my childhood died with you. When I was going through the hardest of times all I'd have to do was put Mrs. Doubtfire in the VCR and everything bad would just slip away and I could just laugh. I'm thankful for all the laughter you gave me, and will forever cherish it. We'll miss you Robin.
Why can't we honor him for what he did best?..."Mork 'n' Mindy"...He was from another plain of understanding...collectively, we were NEVER meant to truly comprehend the depths of such a unique personality...his light is of a shade un-witnessed by the rest of us...RIP.
So, so sad. Up there with the loss of Richard Pryor and John Candy. A terrible loss. Depression is a horrible thing. You just can't comprehend your own value and importance in the lives of others. I wish he could have known an ounce of his worth and found peace in that. I hope you have some peace now, Robin. I hope you feel better. We will miss you!
i myself struggle with depression and ptsd it is nothing to be ashamed of it doesnt make u a bad person but it can be very serious, may GOD BLESS his family and he should be remembered for the way he lived his life and the joy he brought to the world not how he died
Good morning Vietnam... My favorite movie I went to the theater cinema 5 when I was younger man Robin Williams was a true legend...I can't believe he is gone...
Robin Williams did not die. He committed suicide. He was selfish in the end and was alert enough to make that decision. He left friends and family in shock.Noone said they saw this coming. Robin did not put up a fight. He took the easy way out and left his fans disappointed at best. I was one of them. I will remember his talent but he failed himself and his loved ones. Suicide is not an answer.
I have no sympathy for people who take their own lives, do you know how many people who are dying that would give anything to be alive, sorry he made his choice I believe he was stoned out of his mind when he did it.
At first I couldn't believe it, but when I Saw the news and the reports online... My heart sunk and I was shocked... Will miss You Robin, You brought many Laughs when I was young, and You showed so much care and love. R.I.P
+mj Jondoe Are you fucking serious right now!? You're supporting Robin Williams and him only, and you "hate" on the rest?! That makes no fucking sense...Get your mind straight, illogical piece of shit.
@ 1:37 Larry King: "You were a drunk..." Robin Williams: "Well...that's nice of you to say that...." 😂😂😂😂😂 His comedic timing was always impeccable...💕
Why couldn't it have been LeBron James, Johnny Manziel, Bieber, or the Kardashians? The worst losses of 2014 were: Robin, Horace Silver, Casey Kasem, Bob Hoskins, Mickey Rooney, Harold Ramis, and Sid Caesar. The most important thing is Robin is in heaven making my deceased family members laugh now.
I heard that he had a mental illness, and was an inspiration to the rest of us with mental illnesses. We loved him to death. America loved every bit of his crazy but cool stuff. People look out for your loved ones, especially the mentally ill, or there will be no tomorrow. Tell them that you love them. HE WAS ONE OF THE FEW HEARTS OF AMERICAN SCREEN.
This is really sad~ However if you think about depression as a crux the question is When is enough enough~ Here is a man that has a beautiful family who loved him, was wealthy, secure, EMPLOYED, and THE ENTIRE WORLD LOVED HIM. I guess my question is if you have everything and can't cope what about the masses that are in the opposite position...... I guess people who overcome obstacles in their lives without taking this way out really are heros~ Because when you overcome with nothing or half of what this man had you do show the balls your made of. I'm pretty mad that this icon felt this was the best he could do for himself. RIP Robin you will be missed but there had to be a better way~ What dreams may come was just a movie after all.
Robin i have no idea what your demons look like, but i am respectful enough to know that you had your share of them, i hope you found your relief......R.I.P, Great one
he was such a kind man. the bay area will miss him for sure
Oh captain, my captain... :'(
"Oh captain, my captain"... You won't be forgotten
That's right man
Legends Never Die..
Oh no! Flubber and Mrs. Doubtfire were 2 of my favourite films growing up. I even tried making my own flubber once. xD
Wow, thank you for the laughs and memories, ill cherish them forever.

Extraordinary person. Very talented. RIP🙏
Fantastic human being - totally devoid of an attitude problem.
Thanks for the laughs, Robin - there were lots of 'em.

Robin, you will be missed!
The fact that he died is bad enough, but the fact that he killed himself is even worse.
