Your video is the first one I could find (at least ten attempts) that actually showed it plugged in to the instrument! It was like most channels wanted to hide what it's actually for! Thank you so much! Have a good day!
By far the most relatable review for this piece of kit. Coincidentally, I'm not a bass player either, but have the same bass (short-scale Ibanez Talman) for the same reasons.
Yo I have the same bass with the same colors. I also got to say nice video I've been trying to find a good video about the vox and thanks to you I'm now gonna purchase it.
Thanks from Melbourne OZ. Had the first model. Gave it to a kid. Think I'll get this with the added drum feature. Way cool. Suits my Hofner 500/1 as you would expect. Cheers.
By mistake (not knowing there were so many flavors of amplug) I bought the VOX Classic Rock amplug to use with my bass guitar 🎸. Seems to work quite well with the bass. Has 3 reverb effects.
Excellent product review and helpful distinction between the Bass model and the AC30. Lovely reminder of Jesus' Love for us. Bless you! Grace and Peace 🙂
Hey sorry but I’m really busy or I’d link the review. I reviewed it just search it and it will come up - Ibanez TMB 30. Yes short scale and your daughter will absolutely LOVE it!
I got a question, what headphones can I use for that? I don’t have professional music headphones I have these normal phone headphones is that compatible?
Is it true that this specific portable amp can be used in a guitar as well? I'm aware the question itself sounds awfully stupid but budget-wise I might have not enough money to buy two of this boys...
oh yes it works on both, we use the bass one and guitar one on both. I actually prefer this one over the guitar one because it has the backing beats in it and the guitar one does not. I’d get this one if I were you. You will not regret it.
@@BanjoLemonade thanks for your response... From your video, I get that from the controls on the portable amp you can get somewhat of an overdrive sound, right? I feel like I'm buying one of this ASAP.
As far as I know this device acts as if it’s an amp, so I think it will work. But I put it in the aux input on the amp, but on that it should work I think. The jack converter was on amazon. Male to male headphone ext - amzn.to/3dIuulg Cord from headphone ext to amp -Oh and that 2nd cord - it let’s you choose the size. The small one is 1 ft. The longer one is 6.6 ft. I got the longer one it was $13.99 amzn.to/2X4eNix
@@BanjoLemonade thank you so much for this.. this was very helpful.. was planning this over a bluetooth amp plug but I guess I would have latency problems with that.. so I guess this is what I would purchase.. Thank you!
Hi! bought one after watching your review. I am a bit confused on how to adjust the speed of the drums backing track? I tried to adjust the tempo one but it only changed its volume
Hey - to change the tempo you hold down the rhythm button and spin the dial closest (3rd one over) to the button at the same time. The little print there says VOL {TEMPO}.
@@BanjoLemonade Thank you!! I can finally play with it however I want. Just wanted to say that your review is the best one I've seen among other videos. Keep it up!
It is a headphone amp. If you plug your bass into it and don’t plug in headphones you will not hear it. So it is definitely an amp, but you have to plug it into either headphones or an external speaker to hear it. I have it plugged into another amp in the video but it’s only being used as a speaker so you can hear it. I love this little thing, it’s really nice and it has built in drum beats to play along to.
Well, the batteries work. I can hear the metronome in my headphones, but when I pluck the bass, it still sounds like an acoustic bass in the open. Not hearing it through my headphones. What am I doing wrong
Hmmm, I assume you’ve checked your connection plug on another amp? Should work right away. I would check all the dials, check your connection on the guitar, then if it doesn’t work still I’d consider returning it. This is a great little unit, you are the first I’ve heard of to have issues. Sorry.
@@BanjoLemonade it sounded alot better when I set it to orange light mode. I forgot what that's called...medium output mode? Dials and everything are good. I am a complete newbie to this lol. No prior experience with stringed instruments. Thanks! :)
How does this sound through headphones while playing bass? will it sound pretty good and accurate or distorted and lousy? i assume earbuds wont sound as good as a nice set of over the ear headphones?
There is an Auxiliary output port, so you can plug it into any speaker/iPod/type thing. You just have to purchase whatever cord you need. Not sure if you can get one that will allow recording.

Thanks for this review! the only one that demonstrate that the tempo rhythm can be adjusted, now I am ready to buy this :)
Glad it was helpful! I love this little thing!
It's actually have 9 drum bits, hold the down the Rhythm button and click the On/Off button. For each segment (bit) you'll have 3 different rhythms ;)
By far the most relatable review for this piece of kit. Coincidentally, I'm not a bass player either, but have the same bass (short-scale Ibanez Talman) for the same reasons.
I’ve had mine for 2 months, and never knew the tempo could be adjusted! 😂 Thank you!!
It has 8 drum beats and 1 metronome, just press and hold the rhythm button while pressing the power button at the same time. You Welcome :) ENJOY
Yo I have the same bass with the same colors. I also got to say nice video I've been trying to find a good video about the vox and thanks to you I'm now gonna purchase it.
Nice! Yes I absolutely love the bass, and the little vox. So much fun to mess around with. You won’t regret getting it.
I have just ordered one , nice one for the review .

You look happy ..
Great review.tx. JP.
Nice review. Thanks very much from a novice bassist in slightly grey, damp England. And that short-scale Talman bass is a cute-looking thing! :)
Thanks Mark! Oh I love TMB 30. I have a review on it too.
I bought myself one of these back in February - very good purchase!!

Thanks for the demo 👍
Great honest review 🤩
Thank you for the great review BanjoLemonade! Good luck with your channel, I subscribed, cheers!
Thanks Andrew!
Thanks some details that I didn't know Im going to give it a try, God Bless
Thanks for the review, I knew there need to be something of the sort out there :D
No problem 👍

this was the best review i seen for the vox amplug2! how does slap and popping sound, clear?
Everything sounds good to me through it. Thanks!
Thanks very helpful
Rock on B. G.
dood, more bass vids please, I almost just got rid of my mini bass, but shoot, let's keep it. same with tiny living, and noise.
Cool bass🥰🙂
Great video!. Do you have to wear headphones to get sound out of the amp?
Yes you need to wear headphones while using it. I just put it through an amp on video so the audience could hear it. I love this little thing.
What bass model you used on this video? Like that looks like short scale deck. I am looking for my daughter's first bass.

yes i use regular iPhone earbuds for mine most of the time
this is soooo greaaat omg :)) I like that and your video:))
After watching this I bought one as well. But mine has a lot of white noise, I do not hear that in your video, any thoughts on that?
hmmm no I don’t get that at all. Try contacting whomever you purchased it from.

I know that there's also similar one for normal electric guitar but can you also use the bass one you're reviewing with normal guitar?
Yes, I have the guitar one too and this one is better because you’ve got drum practice tracks in it. The guitar one doesn’t.
@@BanjoLemonade thank you for the swift answer! I'll get the bass one only then :)
Is the Vox AmPlug and amplifier on its own? Or is it just used to link your bass with a headphone or an amplifier?

Sounds good to me.
just get bass heavy headphones for like 15$ like jbl
Can we input a song as the backing track into the vox and play it with our bass?
yes, it’s got an AUX port!
So as a beginner im guessing I can just get a aux chord n plug this into my speakers huh
yep plug it into the headphone jack. The aux in you can use to play along to your favorite songs with your phone
So I can't use it without headphones?
You can plug it into your amp instead and hear it through that if you want, but no it’s not got a speaker to use without headphones or amp
Can you plug the vox amplug bass directly to you laptop for recording?
I have not tried that but there is an AUX port. So maybe, not sure.
@@BanjoLemonade Thank you so much. If ever that you have tried it. Let me know. :) BTW good review! I love it!
You need an audio interface for that
What is the brand of this bass?
Ibanez TMB30
can you plug it in your pc/laptop to record the sound?
There is an Auxiliary output port, so you can plug it into any speaker/iPod/type thing. You just have to purchase whatever cord you need. Not sure if you can get one that will allow recording.
can any headphones or earbuds work with this?
yes
does it have an audio input?
Aux input and headphone out.
What’s up slappers
HAHAHAHA I laughed so hard!!!
