American here. Just a quick recap of our not so far history with the Philippines. We promised them complete independence once they fight the Spaniards with us. Which they did. But once the Spaniards were gone they had to fight us for independence. We killed more than 200,000 Filipinos in the process, which took 40 years. To us they were savages. They also sent 10s of thousands of soldiers to help us in WWII, with the promise of full veterans benefit to them. Which we denied afterwards. This channel seems to be publishing more anti-US content lately. Wondered why so I checked the Community page and realized it's an Indian channel. A country that wants western tech and economic access but sides with Iran and Russia.

If that's the case why BBM accepted the terms instead ? bare in mind, 31% of philippines export actually went to China ... Russia and China have military drills on SCS as well so it doesn't make sense which they are the one who are afraid of the US .
China is not afraid of US. With all the advance military weapos they have, to include atomic bomb.
Filipinos are grateful to U.S. for all the help as a democratic country. We just want to de-escalate tensions in our own way and see if there will be a positive result this time regarding the West Philippines Sea.
