As an Englishman I do want the good old days when we won so many at the festival. But throughout the period none of us ever denied this great man a winner. Top top man.
One of the best, jockey and gentleman, love his honesty, determination and opinions on sport and life. I admire this man and wish him well in the future. Thanks Davy.
Anyone looking to be a jockey should look at that race on Irish Point as gd a ride as u will see. It was sublime. Ruby and Tony gave him the praise he deserved for his ride. Gd luck Davy.
Loved listening to him such a great jock & family man. You didn’t want the interview to end. Hope we still see him through the media & future festivals. Good luck with all your future plans.
I had a feeling Davy wasn't right at Cheltenham when Bridge Andrew's beat him in that tight finish, can't remember the horse but I couldn't figure out why Davy didn't go for the whip. He was probably in too much pain. I thought he might keep it going until Punchestown but I'm glad he got his 2 Aintree grade 1s, a perfect exit for the man. Congratulations Davy and well done on a magnificent career. 👏👏🇮🇪
Yes he was. Trainer of that potentially great chaser Bright Highway, who won the 1980 Mackeson and Hennessy Gold Cup and was favorite for that years Cheltenham Gold Cup but injury ended his career sadly.
1 of the best I’ve witnessed since I’ve been watching only McCoy an Walsh better his rides on Tiger roll we’re class to win 2 nationals takes some doing bk to bk just gutted they missed the 3rd

Davy was a proper gentleman and a great jockey. Have a good retirement. God bless.
The sport is a lesser game today because this great character has hung up his boots. I hope someone writes his biography.

MANAGER OF YONKERS RACE WAY SAYS HELLO D R THE ONE THE ONLY THE MANAGER
Why did you ride in Cheltenham davey if were not 100%
The answer is in your question, because its Cheltenham. Many jockeys do it example Rachel on A Plus Tard 2022
People have short memories, Russell punch a horse which is totally unacceptable.
