I absolutely LOVE this Boss pedal. This and the Tera Echo really stand out from the pack... They are a lot of fun and can get really creative with both these from the Boss line. I really hope more very unique pedals like this are made.
There are no major/minor scales in this pedal at all, there are no harmonic properties of the effect. The Slicer SL-2 is rhythmic and percussive, not melodic.
Why dont you provide a simple app to let us design our own slice patterns for this pedal, instead of relying on factory presets that are availible for download?
Does this ACTUALLY have a Looper or something like that built in to it or did I get some "misinformation" from an article I read about this from a "Pro" guitar magazine? I cannot find anything online about the "40 second Looper" the article briefly mentioned either. It happens.
I was thinking this too. I guess it would be easy enough to connect it to a Boss Loop Station RC-5, but if you’re already using the Loop Station to record the whole song and wanted a little looped part in that song with this pedal, you’d need a second Looper pedal. Maybe get a little Ditto loop pedal to pair with it.
Those are Roland/Boss cables. www.long-mcquade.com/departments/645/Guitars/Cables_Power_Supplies/Cables-guitar.htm?StockFilter=0&OnSaleOnly=0&FilterCost=0&BrandIDs%5B%5D=509
Arigato, Danny. Great Job!

Killer man, can't wait for mine...
Exactly what I've been after, is there middle Eastern and Asia minor/ major scales that are either installed or download able?

Now THAT could open up a black hole time warp. Literally. Let's DO it!
They did this :)
Nice.

I’m super late, but the looper was only in the older version. The SL-20

@@MattGilmourMusic Aha! Thank You much.
Be nice if you delved into the software a bit. How to upload one's own midi patterns to the software would be both informative & appreciated.
Where did you get your patch cables or did you make them yourself?

Innovative.
I like that guitar, model?
Everyone who demos this pedal always attached another synth type pedal. Why is that? Why not just demo the pedal with a guitar and overdrive?
Wild sounds…price?
We've edited our description to include a link to the product on our website with the current price in CAD. Thanks!
I think a bass player would get the most out of a slice.
As long as someone showed the bass player the timing, the notes, and how to play bass!
Is there a nig difference between this SL2 and thr orihinal SL20??
