Dating to the early 1960s, "Motor Log West" is a longform TV commercial made by AAA of California, to promote the recreational aspects of Lake Tahoe. The film shows San Harbor beach (1:18) on the Nevada side, where there is swimming. Other activities shown include paddle boating and cruising on the Tahoe Keys boat across Emerald Bay. Hiking is shown in Emerald Bay State Park at (2:10), and D.L. Bliss State Park is shown at (2:50), one of the most popular parks in California. Notable features include Rubicon Point Light, the highest-elevation lighthouse in the United States. At 3:40 El Dorado beach is shown.
