I moved from Mammoth to South Lake Tahoe. Lived here 6 years now! I'm from L.A., Ca. There is no comparison . Northern Ca is SO much nicer then Southern Ca. Tahoe is just stunning! The lake looks like an ocean due to the size of it and it is 72 miles around it, 12 miles across it and 22 miles in length,! I love living here and there are SO many things to do. Everyone must see this in their lifetime. The waterfalls are best in May/June along with the white water rafting. I can't even begin to say how fun it is living here! Love it.
Have skied Tahoe for over 40 yrs now and my favorite go to place without a doubt is Homewood ski resort in Tahoma on the west shore...Ya cant beat the views of the lake from here...Am also fan of Northstar and Alpine meadows although both have gotten alot more commerical and Pricey than they used to be ...I also like to do the paved bike paths around the lake...
MAN! I hope your friend that fell off the Flume Trail is OK! I plan to Mountain Bike it soon! Thanks for this! this is wayyyyy better than the lists I found on trip advisor lol
Well done! 👏👏👏 I just uploaded my own Lake Tahoe videos, so, yours came up. Sorry about the smoke. Yeah, we only live two hours away but pretty much stay away from Tahoe until the Fall time when it's less crowded, and fending off the forest fires of 2020, I didn't think we would be able to make our annual trek, but being spontaneous as we typically are, we found a beautiful weekend in October to visit. 😎
@@socrispbro ME? Just click on our channel link here and look for Lake Tahoe videos. I don't have a video coming this weekend though? We are going to Tahoe today, and eventually will do a video on our stay, if that is what you're asking? Thank you. 🙏🏼
Sometimes you can experience snow in the upper elevations however with this year being so dry. I'm at the heavenly valley base Lodge and we have no snow currently experiencing 57° weather today. But you can rest assured that everyday is a holiday in Tahoe and all activities appear to be slated to open. Nevada side of lake Tahoe has projected June 1st to be 100% capacity
This is such a helpful video thank you so very much! It appears that I do not need to make any type of reservations for these suggestions, including floating the truckee River. Awesome! Are there any restaurants or events that you would suggest I reserve before we arrive? We will be staying in south lake for en entire week. I absolutely love Truckee so I know I want to spend a few days there. Any additional information is greatly appreciated!
@@Active_Tours Great! But where do we park to float there? And if traveling in where do we purchase rafts? Awesome video - we’re headed there in two weeks!
I live in Tahoe. Great video! I do want to mention though that all state park trails DO NOT ALLOW DOGS :( I agree, Rubicon Trail is my absolute favorite trail as well. But since they don't allow dogs..... booooooo. Also, Cave Rock was not named for the tunnel road made through it! It was named that well before the road due to the cave that faces the lake that the Washoe deem incredibly important to their culture.
Hii. Nice video. Anyone planning to visit tahoe-wear a mask, social distance, check local regulations and if its safe for yall to come thru. There's limited amount of hospital beds here. ✌

where would you like to choose your home if you could move to lake tahoe again. ?
I love Tahoe!!! Paddleboarding camping in the summer. Snowboarding in the winter!!! Soooo dope!!!!
What’s your favorite ski resort?
@@Active_Tours depends on who I’m with. Big group we go to heavenly but if it’s a small group we go to squaw valley. Alpine is great too.
I've watched several vids about Lake Tahoe! Your recommendations are the most feasible and fun! Can't wait to see these places!
Ahhh, I'm going to love it there. See you soon.
Enjoy your trip!
Nice work Josh, headed to Tahoe this October. Lots to do.

Mt Rose ski resort is my favorite. It’s about 25min drive from Reno and family friendly.

Thanks for letting us know about cave rock and it’s importance. Boo no 🐶 on trails.
are all the beaches only for residents?
Good stuff to know
Does anyone know what the place is called to go to rent the jetskis and around how much itll be for two people or like by hour?
There are many places to get jet skis on Tahoe. They are priced around $149 - 179 for the first hour. Enjoy
Would you recommend going here alone?
I love traveling solo so I always recommend that. Hard to meet other travelers these days with Covid tho
What happened to the person that went over the trail?
He only had a few scratches
Is there phone signal out there?
There’s pretty good service around the lake for Verizon
