hope they keep the whole 'terrain can counter dilo clones' because dilo venom lasting ~10 minutes is bonkers, cant imagine fighting a pack, you'd need any advantage you can get
oh it is pain. dilo is not balanced in pack game play at all. i was a full grown cera, and 2 adults and 2 young ones rolled up on me, killed in a less than a minute BC I CANT ****ING SEEE
hallucinations should not do damage, and fog should only appear at night
also should have is so that venom can be cancelled out by another dilos venom to prevent a victim seeing 20+ dilos
If you manage to escape or win the fight, drinking water will remove the Dilo venom
the whole venom thing seems a bit unnessecary and gamey to me.. should have just stuck to the old night hunter formula.
@@orinaoz8686 I agree with this for the most part. The hallucinations should do no damage. However, I think they should keep the damage "noise" when one bites at ya. Otherwise, I feel like it'd become a bit too easy ta tell what is and is not a hallucination.
The "only having hallucinations during the night" would be too much of a nerf in my mind. It's already hard enough ta see at night (from what I recall), so I feel like that's just unnecessary.
And I'm unsure about the canceling out vemon thing. Still feel like that's too much. Though a limit ta how many dilos can have venom stacked on a prey item would be a good idea.
@@twlightnightfall1315 yes, its still venom afterall, but the damage shouldn't be passive, and only the first dilo that applied venom to a target can do the lil honk for a damaging hallucination

@@KougaArt not true. Test with herra in a tree after vemon bites. No damage bc clones can't attack you.

You can inflict the venom stacks with even less bites when it's night ;)
i did some testing and found as long as a packmate got the prey into purple stage and you bit them atleast once for venom, you could spawn clones with them

Buck should deal damage for dilos, they have the neck for it and they won’t need to change the animation if not a little
I played Dilo right after watching this guide, grew to adult, got snatched by a deino under the water and survived, and then i got one-shotted by a random pachy that came out of nowhere because i was low

I think I'm starting to like this "Night Hunter" class vibe more, sharing the niche with the Troodons and the Dilos.
Am not sure, but as I know, venom work better at night. Meaning you need less amount of bites to stuck last stage of venom on prey. Any info is that True?

Turns out it isn't that op how people might think. Most of the time it's going to be hard to apply decent venom since everyone is running around while fighting so you have more chance on landing a tail hit than anything else. Also it's poor bleed resistance makes it's quick speed viable against omnis. I was wondering how many bites it takes to apply venom and as it turns out it's more complex than i would've thought. Tried fighting things and i was wondering why my venom wasn't working even after multiple landed bites, now i got to know that it's because i managed to bite their tail. Also every1 dislikes the hallucinations damaging players, while there are countless possibilities to just outright get away from them. I think it's pretty balanced as it is. I've grown one to full adult and i've always won the fights against smaller creatures by kind of tanking them face to face and not because of the venom. Most of the time i couldn't even reach the first stage because of the speedy nature of evrima dino fights. I think i've successfully applied it once but the target was already about tro hits away from dying so i just had to finish them off. I'm pretty sure this comment will get a lot of negative responses, but idc, dilo is viable, just try not to face tank it as a bigger creature and it's turning radius makes it kind of easier for small things to out turn it before they get a couple dosen of it's teeth sunk into their bodies.

@@Greenends tail bites don't envenomate mate, and it's bite force isn't some godzilla atomic charge. It takes 10 bites to kill something much smaller than a dilo and guess what? It's supposed to hunt stegos so yes, it's fair.
@@Greenends tenos absolutely obliterate them, stegos likely 1 shot them, cera kills them with ease, carno can ambush them, you can clearly see how quickly it bleeds out and basically near everything deals bleed damage so utah is a fair opponent and anythjng smaller than utah have a chance to easily escape them by either being faster, able to climb, swim or is so small that you will lose them in the grass in about two meters. Yes it's fair.
@@Greenends forgot that pachy basically kills anything around or slightly heavier than itself and it only takes one good hit and it's basically doomed, meanwhile you run up to a slope and the hallucinations everyone's crying about can't even reach you. It's obviously powerful but the fact it's fragile makes it kind of fair. You're not supposed to mess with it, if you do, you're risking a whole lot. High risk, high reward. Sounds fair to me.
Feel the need to add that a full grown hera basically two shots them from a tree, while the dilo two hits the herra if they manage to pull off a headshot. Still a high risk, high reward scenario.
Love how the buck looks like the dilo is slammimg his head into the raptor, like: "Get off of me you buggar!"

that's nice but i have 2 questions first is how do you inject the venom and how do you do the buck animation ? and does it do damage to the raptor? i would like to know as a beginner of the isle evrima pls
1. simply bite your target as demonstrated
2. Hold E to buck, doesn't do damage, only drains the other stamina

both of bites are the "Alt+LMB"-Bites ... i dont unterstand why i cant quaik attack.

open the settings > gameplay > check the box named "manual alt attack"

it's too bad hallucinations only work in very specific terrain, hopefully one day they can fix the AI on them. Anyways, so does this mean that venom itself ONLY deals damage if the hallucinations hit the target? If so that's kinda stupid.......

@@PrettyBasicVR venom is applied the more you bite, and the max venom is showed as purple when you sniff. When it's purple, press RMB to summon your clones, only works if the smell of the victim is purple

I’m a bit confused about the venom stacking. From what I’ve seen, there are only 2 stages: green and purple, and on the second stage (purple) is when you can spawn clones.
I also heard from someone that you can get to the third stage (dark purple) which will do more damage like troodon’s venom, but I haven’t gotten a chance to test it.
Lastly, I found that the venom stacking is universal as opposed to individual. I did a bunch of 2v1s in norden and there were times where I hadn’t gotten any bites in but the target was still envenomated on my screen and once it got to purple I was able to spawn clones.
no, there is 3 stages, as I showed in the prey perspective. Such as troodon, the purple means you're in 3rd stage, and that is when you can spawn your clones. If you try before it it won't work
Dilo's Venom is not the same as the Troodon, but it's indeed similar. Dilo doesn't do more damage if the prey is envenomated, it just fogs their vision and makes them hallucinate

hello! You can try these things:
- put LUMEN off
- put most settings on medium or low
- click apply 2x
- lock your fps to 30 or 60
- reduce 3d from 50 to 47 or 46

we like to know that is actually the venom doing the damage
Well, the dilo isn't that big or has a huge jaw or a razor claw ... so just the fact that this Deino bit you, will cause severe ... EmoTiOnAl DaMagE! :>

What is 3rd stage duration and cooldown to refill hallucination?
usually the fog lasts 10 minutes and the Dilo cooldown is really short, not sure if its 10 seconds but very close to it
I automatically do alt attack even if I don't press alt, what do I need to change in settings to fix this?
settings > gameplay > enable manual alt attack (last box)

that's on you, there's no secret formula. Different servers hold different players that are in different regions of the map, i can't make a guide relying on one singular ocasion

the isle is not like other survival games that you can collect wood and stones... Here you are born and need luck through your entire journey. If you die, even to a bug or by someone, say bye bye to your 5 hours of growth
normal attack is bugged, thats why is too quick
it was like that in stress test, it might be a little too fast but its intentional to better apply the venom

If the dilo clones cant reach the prey, will they just wait or do they despawn after a certain amount of time? Would be wild, that as soon as you leave the safe spot you are under attack by like 10 clones lmao

what is this game? I spend my time running from right to left to die of starvation, frankly the game is very frustrating, AI never appear, it takes a miracle for AI to appear, I know it's a survival game but the devs push survival to the extreme and a video game is made above all to have fun and have a good time and not to be frustrated, legacy was much better in theme of survival , frankly when we already know that a progression lasts 1h30 and you find nothing to eat and you die you revive another dino by doing the same thing but you are almost adult and you die and so on there is no pleasure to play I repeat myself but it's ultra frustrating in carnivore the survival is too hardcore it's even unplayable because even if you survive for a while your food drops and since there is no AI that spawns you die, NICE GAME 🤔in short about this game I no longer spend my time dying to starvation than hunting players or joining packs , even the chat system what is this idea of only speaking with your species it takes away the madness that had as a legacy he should have just reworked the dinos and left their mechanics and not changed the AI and the chat Sorry for this novel but I say what I think of evrima, my evrima conclusion disappoints me
tried to see if the AI spawns in the migration? I've seen deers, frogs, goats and even a family of boars
this game is literally ruined
this was supposed to be a "realistic" dino survival game, not shadow clone jutsu
the game was never meant to be realistic there's been hypos/hypers and mutated dinosaurs and insane strains since basically the beginning and all of the dinosaurs in the game are not even from the same realistic time periods so i have no idea what youre talking about. not to defend the isle since their recent decisions suck (cough dondi cough) but its definitely not meant to be realistic at all

Welp, u proved my theory that dilos CAN in fact stack up clones if eac of them individually stack their venom.
(I think) Max 4 clones active though, but they vanish quickly so you can just spam it.

not really, it's just a feature. Do this:
open settings panel, go to gameplay and check the "manual alt attack" box
I still don’t think bleed is powerful enough in this game. I got bled by an Omni and proceeded to just run my ass off, and even though my blood pool dropped really fast, it still started healing before I even felt like I was far enough from the raptor to be safe, before I stopped running it was already giving me healing cross.
The clone no justsu is such a stupid thing. It would have been better if they used sounds to disorientate their prey instead of these weird visuals and instead of the fog they could've ade your vision blurry.
I feel like its ability is completely useless. Lol
