Yeah about that there is a monster called squidlers that really hates lights expect for one( the purple light) and spawns in dark rooms/ after angler breaks lights, and they do DMG quite a bit especially if there is multiple in one room so it is best thing to not use lights and use beacon to flash room and see where you going or use purple flash light if you get lucky to find it.

There's usually a unique message on the bottom of your screen when you first encounter an angler, it doesn't mean anything as far as I know
This happens every start of a match when the lights flicker, so I hope that helps

iirc you cant shake them off if youre in the complete dark, you have to be near a light source (your flashlights dont work)
How to make out which ones are fake doors and which ones are the actual ones
look at the numbers of the doors, see if they r producing sparks or like a --- or u hear noises behind it
