Damn that bike looks so cool, very cool what you’ve been doing with it “dialing it in” 👍🏽 don’t think we can have one in California yet, but hopefully someday soon. Thanks for sharing your experience.
They JUST came out with the 50-state street legal version! They’re even coming with KYB forks now. You’re welcome! Thank you for taking a moment to comment.
Many of us watch your videos and your tests will be useful to us. I received mine at the end of August and after the break-in I will test the COOBER ECU. I'll tell you what I think about it from France, but we don't have the same weather conditions...
Thank you! All reports have been positive so far with the coober setup. It appears they have it available in the US too. Would like to even try it in comparison to the UW full exhaust.
So I have been riding 2500km at 6500rpm mostly high speeds. I have totally stock fuel system. But factory air, ecu and a pipe with no cat and no restrictions in thr silencer. And no catch can. My tanks are super evenly heating. No issues at all… I just leave a tiny bit of headroom in the tanks… never fill to the brim. Your videos made me really worried about it all but honestly if you go away from the euro5 stuff the bike is amazing without issues and there is no need for all these mods to the system
I didn’t do mods just for the fun of it. I had issues that needed addressed. It has run hot and pushed fuel since day one for me. I’m happy you didn’t experience it like me, but you can’t make a blanketed statement that the mods are simply not needed.
@@DirtByki mean I went right away to the factory (could be Coober or other exhaust) after understanding the heat issues. But all the caps and vents etc… this I was about to order but my dealer said hold off as it won’t be an issue with the “factory “ setup. So I think the issue here is with the emissions systems. Which cause the issues. I rode my bike like that for 1hr in town and decided right away to get rid of it as everything was runninv tool hot.
I have a standard 49state model here in Arizona that I ride on 2 track trails I have 1300 miles on it,although I haven’t rode in any hot weather yet lol. I put a funnel web air filter on it and changed the oil other than that the engine is completely stock have not done any mods whatsoever to it.Just added some Uncle Wangs add ons to suit me. I have left the catch can and fuel vent system intact but carefully Do Not top off any of the tanks when refueling and have had zero issues. Fuel anxiety is gone riding this bike as the range is more than adequate for me. The stock pipe and ecu works but it does tend to flame out and stall in slow sections especially with the stock gearing. Glad to hear your experience and opinions on the tuning, testing etc. appreciate your input.
If you have check valves in the fuel line between the front tanks and the rear tank, it’s likely the check valve has failed and pushing fuel forward. This is a known issue with the KTM 450 Rally. I’m assuming there is a pump in the rear tank as well.
I dont mind a louder exhaust. It’s actually not as loud as the TI pro exhaust IMO. The stocker is just too heavy and restrictive. I’ve been thru a couple different options but because I wear them out often and need a good desert tire, the Parker DT is a good budget tire. That and a Tusk t45 up front. My go to combo with mousses when flats can’t be an issue and HD tubes when dual sporting.
On this particular day I didn’t get to test those conditions. In future content I’ll definitely take the bike on some single track and test them back to back. I got the Uncle Wang exhaust mounted up so that will be the next video and then I’ll work on some comparison vids.
Hi, the only thing I have different on mine is the rear fuel cap. I do not like that Uncle Wang's version because, as you leave it open, water can get through - e.g. as you wash the bike. I actually changed it to an Acerbis cap.
Hi! I tried to contact with koveusa because of ECU remapping in different ways but unfortunatelly no answer till now. I would like to ask a big favour from you! Would you so kind to share with me the communitation line you used! Thank you!
It’s a reflash of your stock ecu. There isn’t an ecu you can buy with the map, instead you need to send your ecu to Kove USA and request a reflash to the 230.1. They are located in Mona, Utah.

Dayum! Oh this bike is sweet!
Thank you
Those are very nice welds
I agree! 😅

The Kove only has one fuel pump and is gravity fed from the rear.
I’d be up for that exhausted!!! Heck with shipping, we could just link up and backpack it!!!
What seat do you have? Looks like suede leather!!! Very nice!!!
It’s the suede option from Seat Concept.
My uncle wang exhaust is SUPER loud so I went back to the stock one. What tires are you running?

Hi, how do the two ECUs compare in more enduro style environment/area/riding?
Thx Clemens

I’d be interested in the exhaust. Let me know

Which acerbis cap works? For now I just have to remember to shut the valve if i wash the bike.
Hello!
Please give me the contact of that where i can get the 230.1 remapped ECU!
Thank you!

I’m not sure what you are asking?
I wouldn’t mind getting graphics like yours?
Contact SKDA. They have some sick kits available.
Great color combo but it's pronounced K-O-ve, not Kove'.
I know. It’s a made up word by a Chinese company. Chinese don’t pronounce it Kovay either so I can say it how i want.
