The Native Howl won No Cover, music competition, where contestants must perform their own original compositions. Lzzy Hale was of judges on the show and she became instant fan of them.
Just found your channel because I love The Native Howl and of course Lzzy. I just looked through your videos and I'm surprised I didn't see any The Warning. If your not familiar with them they are 3 sisters out of Mexico that are about to release their 4th LP. They have opened for bands like Halestorm, Muse, Foo Fighters and are about to headline their second tour in Europe. Lzzy Hale is actually a fan of theirs and even gifted Dany a guitar on stage while on tour together. They literally don't have a bad song so its hard to suggest one, maybe Evolve at the MTV VMAs for a Dany (guitar) lead vocal or Dust To Dust live at Teatro CDMX for a Pau (drums) lead vocal song.

I agree, this would definitely be an interesting follow up. The story about why Lzzy gifted Dany is documented in an interview with Alison Hagendorf Lzzy Hale gifts Dany of The Warning a guitar, it’s an interesting listen!

The collab is a remake of their original release of the song. I've been fortunate to see them twice opening for Zakk Wylde bands. First was with Black Label Societya couple years ago. And then just earlier this year with his cover band, Zakk Sabbath. They are so much fun live. They brand themselves as "Thrash Grass" and it just works! And totally cool and chill guys. Got to talk a couple of them up at their merch table the first time I saw them. They're out of the Detroit area. If you get a chance to see them live, do it!
I would just like to echo what LostHate has said, there is a quite strong connection between Lzzy and The Warning in that she gifted Dany a custom Gibson Explorer, made to the specifications kindly supplied by Dany’s guitar tech. The gift was a follow on from when she got gifted one early on in her career by Jasin Todd - she asked him what she could do for him and he told her to gift one on when she found someone who inspired her. So when The Warning opened for them in their tour of North America and Canada that’s where Lzzy decided that the time was right.
If you’re interested, I would suggest their performance of Evolve Live at the VMAs, MTV are still trying to find their roof! They’ve not heard music like that for a very long time!

Sons of Destruction is a great one by them! They have a ton on Spotify, but are releasing a brand new album in the very near future. Great reaction video. Mercy is one of my faves.

I have seen The Native Howl in person warming up Airbourne. The lead singer is craaaazy and incredible. They really rocked it.
I just discovered these guys. I saw Lzzy & clicked on it immediately. And yeah!!! The intro grabs you instantly with the blues guitar & raspy vocals. It had me by the first note, even before Lzzy showed up. Wow!!! After I heard this twice, I discovered you for the first time too & saw your analysis of it. Spot on. I was a bit speechless as well. Good job!! My daughter & I had a podcast & posted on You Tube on her channel for a time. So, I know what you do is not easy. Keep up the awesome work. 🤘
Can’t Sleep is another good one. Trash Grass is their genre.

I'm so glad I clicked on this because I found this song yesterday and I needed to listen to it with someone else who is as obsessed with it as I am, lol. How many times is too many times in a row to listen to a song? Anyway, check out their song Sons of Destruction.
Just discovered them too. I saw that Lzzy had done another collaboration & decided to check it out, which is how I found The Hu (Mongolian heavy metal band that will blow your mind. They're so incredible. Then they added Lzzy to the mix. Beyond Grammy level. Straight to the Golden God Awards.) I could continuously listen to it.
