I think this might have been a relative success in europe! Here in Sweden we got the Fiat Strada, which was the pickup version of the brazillian Fiat Pailo. Pretty poopular with excavator or loader operators due to low cost and being cheap to run. Just saw that the Hoggar has a 406 doorhandle as handle for the tailgate XD
Indeed. Peugeot built the 206 PLUS hatchback in Sochaux which the Hoggar is based on, however they snubbed the Brazilian development of the pickup truck for Europe's markets.
@@Channel205UK Just as a curiosity, in Brazil, the 206+ was called 207, as the European 207 was never built here. For economic reasons, to launch the European 207 here would require big investments in the plant and it would be expensive compared to other car manufacturers compact cars, so Peugeot made the facelift in the 206 and launched as 207. That’s why maybe you will see some Brazilian people commenting that the Hoggar is the “207” pickup.
@@Channel205UK Another interesting fun fact. As the Hoggar uses the taillights of the 1007, and the 1007 was the last Peugeot designed by Pininfarina, we could say that the Hoggar is a 3% Pininfarina designed car 😂😂😂
I absolutely love this! I used to dream as a teen to import one outside the Mercosur and here it is… probably the only one in the entire old continent!
Congratulations!! I’m a Peugeot collector in Brazil and I can understand the feeling of receiving such a rare car to your region. I don’t know if there’s any other Hoggar in Europe apart from yours and the one in Peugeot Museum in Souchaux (red as well). As the one in the museum is not for regular use, yours is the only one being used properly in the roads!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Interesting you mention the Peugeot Museum. There is a photo online showing a black Hoggar in their stores, when I asked them about it they said it no longer exists. They told me it was donated by Peugeot to the museum for spare parts only and it seems now dismantled. I have never seen any evidence of another Hogger in the museum, if you have any more information on this I would love to know.
@@Channel205UK Sorry my friend for the late response, I was traveling and just saw your comment today. Indeed there’s a video of a portuguese journalist visiting the Reserve in the Archives near Souchaux, in Herimouncourt. Check the link below in the minute 6:35 of the video and you will see the Hoggar in the collection. While the curator speaks in French, the journalist speaks in Portuguese and English lol, you can try to activate the automatic captions of UA-cam to try to understand a little. What I got is that this Hoggar was the one that went to Europe for tests before the launching in Brazil. And after that Peugeot donated to the Museum.
Sou brasileira tenho uma ,não troco por nada, melhor picape na minha opinião,e o melhor quase ninguém tem , manutenção euesma faço , as peças são fáceis de encontrar todas do 207,
My other cars are a 1993 Peugeot 205 XL 1.6i Automatic and a 2021 Citroën C1 Airscape which I bought new so one of the last built by Toyota post the PSA withdraw.
Do you need to do any work on your car to match the UK regulations ? It could be great to do a full recap of all the things you have to do to register it.
É muito gratificante ver uma picape desenvolvida no nosso país indo morar no outro lado do Globo. Abraços do Brasil🇧🇷🇬🇧
:-)))))

"Just saw that the Hoggar has a 406 doorhandle as handle for the tailgate XD" - that's an interesting spot, I hadn't even noticed! thanks.
Peugeot Hoggar: A 206 with the front end of a 207 and tailights from a 1007....love it!

Sure!

thanks for the lovely comment 🙂
Nice! Our Brazilian Peugeot Hoggar Escapade. 1.6 16V Flex. Ethanol and Gasoline. Made in Brazil, here in Rio de Janeiro-RJ state in Porto Real city.
Thank you.
Congratulations bro, the next can be a Peugeot 504 pick-up diesel ( two pick-ups trucks is better than one)
They command a high price in the UK as they are so few left. They rusted very badly.
PS I had a 504 GLD saloon for many years as a daily classic car to drive, solid and reliable. I love the Indenor Diesel engine.
You could choose a nice UK plate for her, like "HO 66 AR" for example :D
Well, it will have a 11 plate which for a 206 will be unique anyway, but I get your drift 🙂
Found it here. UA-cam is looking for Twitter info
More content will come 🙂
The next car
.. up the Volkswagen SAVEIRO to england 😂😂😂
Ja existe

@@alexandersugai7976 Argh the link doesn't work :-(
What a super-cool vehicle! I hope you can keep the original number plates somewhere! Look forward to seeing more about this soon!
Thank you, we'll have to wait for the DVLA to do their stuff and go from there.

Thank you, I have spent today swapping the rear light to 1007 UK spec units and giving it an engine service.
Sweet
