I like the round brush because of the smoothness and little curl! I have the Revlon paddle brush but abandoned it for my Revair which I learn that works amazing on my locs too.
@@jaichanellie because of the continuous pulling while rotating the brush, I ordered the volumizer plus version of this brush , it has a smaller head and the head is detachable so my approach is going to be: First take of the head, and use the tension method first to stretch my hair until it’s damp-almost dry, then go in with the head and get it sleek by brushing maybe twice or rotating it twice until it’s fully dry and fully stretched
I have the paddle brush version from Revlon! I love it, but I’m scarred that it might thin my hair out over time because I’m too rough with my hair lol. I think I’ll just stick to using it when I want to blow my hair out prior to flat ironing it, otherwise I’ll use the tension method with a regular hair dryer before box braids, crochet braids, etc.
It’s a must-have! Oh no 😣 how many sections are you working with? Do you detangle beforehand? I lowkey do the tension method with the paddle brush, that’s why I pull my hair out all the way before brushing it. That way I’m not just ripping the bristles through my hair 😖 Definitely do what’s best for you and your hair; the tension method ain’t neva hurt nobody! Thank you for watching and sharing ❤️
i love the results of the round brush for a fresh blowout but i can see how somepeople like toe brush as a touch up tool or probably because it takes less finesse. i'd get the round brush in heartbeat if i felt more secure using round brushes!!
Exactly this! I haven’t seen a lot of Black girls use the round brush and do the flick of the wrist lol. It definitely is a learning curve but the results >>
Thank you! I was looking for the different effects that the brushes have on natural hair before buying them, now I know which one I want to get much love all the way from South Africa.
I have the round brush, but I have been thinking of the other one 😅 but I love the results of the round brush on you. I may want to revise the round one 😊
Great video. My thing is the pink balls on the end of the dryer/brush. Those get caught in your hair and may do damage. You see you only have a few left. Is there a hair drying brush that does not have those balls on the end and works just as well?
I just recently got the Knot Dr Drying Round Brush by Conair, which is similar to the Revlon Round brush. I absolutely love the finished look; however, I feel as though the boar bristles might cause excess breakage. Does anyone else feel the same?
I got myself the roundbrush and I'm just not a pro like you are😂😂😂 I look like I only brushed it dry but it took me 30minutes after my hair was wet and I didn't achieved that sleek curl look...I guess I need to try harder next time

My daughter hair gets dry very easily. I want to train her hair and stretch it before braids with beads. Which do u think would be better for training and braid prep on a child with 4c and dry hair? I’m so sore on these two.
@@citizencoy4393 what do you mean by “training”? Also if her hair gets dry easily I’d def make sure you’re hydrating and moisturizing her hair before using anything with oils in it, so the moisture can get locked in
@@jaichanellie She is 8 and has never had heat in her hair. I was told once I train her hair with heat that her hair wouldn’t be so hard and less knots. I moisturize but the creams just sit on top of her hair they don’t absorb in. I was thinking of getting the paddle brush so that I can properly cut ends and do cornrow styles. Right now any cornrows look fizzy. I’ve tried deep conditioning, hair grease, pink oil, leave in conditioner..l it all just sits on top of her hair. Her hair is damp when I apply it. African pride leave in works a little but is loaded with silicone. Do u think the brush dryer will help?
@@citizencoy4393 okay, it sounds like a hair steamer might help open up her cuticles and make sure products can actually absorb into her hair! That would be a better tool than a blow dryer, which is only gonna contribute to her hair feeling dry. Also as an aside, there’s no such thing as “heat training.” That’s a fancy way of saying heat damaged hair 😂 because the actual bonds in the hair are weakened, that’s what makes it easier to blow out / straighten the hair over time. Since you don’t typically use heat in her hair, I wouldn’t go that route.
