- “He hasn’t checked the dot matrix out of fear. The room lights up whenever it updates and Ghostbur scrunches his eyes up as tight as he can until the light fades a few hours later.
This also helps dam the tears from burning his cheeks as he himself is damned to this plane.
He has spent 5 months on the material plane.
He has spent 16 years in limbo.
A new addition to Ghostbur’s horrific existence is the slow burning of his memory. As time elapses he seems to lose track of his good memories as well as the bad ones he forgot long ago. Only a few remain;
He remembers the smell of baked bread.
He remembers sparring with technoblade as a child.
He remembers the crowds and the loud cheers.
He remembers a guillotine.
He remembers a cold eternal icy wasteland.
He remembers Tommy’s kindness.
One thing remains true. Ghostbur is the remnant of a plighted man who was sentenced to death for his evil. Ghostbur’s situation is a result of that man’s return.
Ghostbur feels guilty.
Ghostbur misses everyone.”

Wilbur is a fantastic writer, being able to make me feel so damn sad for a trapped ghost and somehow feel something for Alivebur as well despite knowing Alivebur is simply a shitty person. This is just icing on the GhostBur sadness cake.

If it isn't tragic enough, remember that water burns him (like it does for Ranboo), So he can't even find relief in crying the pain away. Beautiful animatic, I love you work so much as it is, but this one is very special. You nailed the emotion, something I strive to do in my art. Well done!
Nah, he cries blue not water so he’s fine. What he needs to worry about are the wounds that will never go away and all the memories slipping through his grasp as he loses himself piece by precious piece in the endless void
And that is why he has streacks of blue on his cheeks... His blood I'd blue... So there's practically blood on the limbo walls
@@Boxygirl96 In 0:13, you can see scars, which I don’t think there are any scars on ghostbur’s hands after giving away all that Blue. It would make sense if that was water then, there should be scars, ghosts melt if touched by water. Or it could be blood, Still good theory tho!
@@Boxygirl96 Oh, yeah you are right. That is the case in this animatic. But I was referring to when Revivebur saw Ghostbur get forced out of the train when he was being dropped off in the station after Revivebur was, well, revived by dream. When talking about the tears he said "-it was steaming, it looked like they were burning him..." or something along those lines. But. yeah, you are correct, my friend.

Its perfect, especially at the beginning, the song hit two note back to back, then there was a pause, then it reapeated. You matched ghostbur's movements exactly to each beat, then switched secences during the pause. Just perfect.
I have mixed emotions about this animatic... On the one hand, it's beautiful, the music is wonderful, and the blue against the monocrome background looks stunning... On the other hand, why? Why must you gut me so? Is it my lot in life to suffer from Ghostbur angst all my life? WILL IT NEVER END?!
Wilbur lied. Ghostbur and friend moved to the afterlife. They are ok, and with people like them, people who see no bad in anyone, and only, love.

I feel a connection with this one. More than any other. Being alone, your only comfort the good memories of the people you love and yet at the same time it’s your curse. You’re alone. There is no one coming to get you off this train platform. And everyone you held close is forcefully taken away.

Everything you see here is something that Wilbur mentioned about his limbo, the attention to detail is incredible. You can really see that you did your research and it’s amazing!

The interstellar song dude hhh,,, hits me right where it hurts, and the flashes before the memories hit ghostbur. Him sliding down the wall, blue coating the walls (showing these flashes hasn’t happened just once) and him just curling up crying is all so kdhdhdvxjsh, I love these animations so much dude.

I love the colour contrast between alivebur and ghostbur. The angst for ghostbur is always done so great.
The music choice here is just- freaking incredible. Like that mixed with this specific shade of blue that you have used makes me just ✨feel ✨ things, truly amazing!

The cuts between the bright memories to the dark limbo was heartbreaking-you always capture emotions so well and this was absolutely devastating, well done (but also I’m in peril)

i... in fact, haven't listened to your warning... and... you were right. my heart is definitely broken. like, the fact that ghostbur is, in my point of view, trying to escape from limbo (even if, i guess, he knows that he can't) and the fact that there is some flashback scenes... is so sad... he really want to fucking escape and be with his friends...
