This song embodies what the 90s were about. Hype music that made you feel good, killer fashion, living life to the fullest. These are the times that need to be revisited to remember who we used to be and to get back what we as people lost.
Well said! The atmosphere and mood today just isn't the same as back then. I mean, I know times are going to change but still. We at least need this part of humanity back
THE GREATEST SONG IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!!! I remember hearing this at the end of the 1990's first TMNT movie when I was 4 and I was overcome with the urge to DANCE. STILL DANCING NOW!!
In 2020, the original TMNT should be re released on DVD and Blu Ray, and include the behind the scenes documentary, plus the music videos shot by Spunkadelic and Partners in Kryme specifically for the movie.
I was in kindergarten when this came out! Some of my earliest memories. I loved the toys figures and video games. The movies were a huge inspiration to my pursuit in martial arts. Love how they pulled off such a dark but funny, and action packed realistic movie. I was captivated! TMNT for life!!
I saw this in the theater when I was ten years old...1990.....movie totally blew my mind. Recently (2019) started re-reading the original black and white comics.
early nineties with the Dallas Cowboys being the team of the 90s. winning 3 of 4 Super Bowls also the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan winning six NBA titles
Honor. Family. Truth. Pizza. These are the pillars that keep us 9.95. This may have been 3 years before I was born but this movie gave me these things growing up and I'm so glad to be born as a millennial.
hah haa I see what you've done with some of these lines, that "hip ready and willing" got a grin out of me but "it's the hour of the party"'s the best bit, well done lol
Whoever made this... made some really strange choices in the clips they put in from the movie juxtaposed with the lyrics currently being sang. At 0:48 "And we're doing fine!" as April gets the sai knocked out of her hand... At 2:51 "You've got to keep that faith alive!" while a foot ninja is being electrocuted and April's building catches fire.
Here’s the link to a version from around the same time by a Chinese group called Grasshopper. Not sure which version came first: ua-cam.com/video/Ydl4GUlJcD0/v-deo.html
It's based on the concept of getting a score of "10 out of 10". The song is about how perfection is impossible, but we can get close to a perfect vibe with a '9.95' performance.
I’m leaving this comment here, so after a week or a month when someone likes it, I get reminded of this masterpiece!
I just reminded you amigo
You have been reminded watch this video again!❤😂

Rye Gingerale
Me too I haven't seen this movie in years. Listening to this song it takes me back to the 90's.
The nostalgia, this song truly encompasses the energy of the 90’s . Wow the memories. I was a child but I remember the vibes. 💯♥️

There’s something about hearing songs like this. Hits me in the those pre-teen feels.
Same here!
New jack Swing does that too you.
I second that my gee
Hearing this at 9 years old was one of my earliest experiences of “feeling” music. It made me feel so good and I couldn’t explain why.
Made me feel like it was time to rewind the vhs lol

On Netflix now! ✌🏿💪🏿👍🏿
and all those deleted scenes
my only complaint is PiK singing that Raph was the leader
Pfft - You know Raph was the true Leader of the Group. He just let Leo handle the little stuff :p
@@IamNotU I remember the first time I heard that lyric. I was like "huh?"
32 years and still kicking!

Me too, it's a great song. I heard this when I was really young.
Luis Alberto Dueñas Rivera Me too
I only remember this song from when I was around 5 or 6 going to the laundromat. I hate getting old.
As an 8 year old kid in 1990 this was my first introduction to 90's style music.
Needs to be on Spotify.
Had this soundtrack, saw the movie as a kid and never knew there was a video.

Listening to this music man, a time where the world wasn't extremely crazy🤪.
It always was crazy, we were just too young to realise it.... which was already something....
Oh how dope would have been if Spunkadelic had an official video to 9.95 ❤ (2023)
This song always pops into my head.
I was listening to the old TMNT soundtrack when I remembered this awesome song!! I totally loved it!

Donkey Kong is that you singing New Jack Swing?
N-no seriously, that's the singing voice of DK in the Donkey Kong cartoon.
Wait, really?

Whooo hoo 9.95 , Alright April, Alright Casey
Happy holidays everyone. Just remembered this song from my TMNT tape from when I was a kid
Holy shit, there's a music video? And the artist's name is _Spunkadelic?!?!_
I like that weird synth voice in the very start! Song’s a peachy but definitely good sound! Reminds me of my childhood! Cowabunga! 🎤
So cool & classic...
Make me remember again this movie.
As a kid, for reasons that are unknown to me, I always thought it was Casey and April singing this. 😂
Did this song make it into the charts back then? Don't think I ever heard the song on the radio
ever.
Never knew there was a video to this
Still listening 2021
Thank you very much for creating this . Thank you love this song remember the old days wow 😊😎
That woman is sooooo gorgeous
I liked Martika too. 🙄
What does this have to do with the TMNT you ask? Nothing! Does it matter? NOPE!
+Angelina Krueger yes I remember vividly I'm just saying 9.95 has nothing really to do with them as opposed to the other credits song Turtle Power
When Casey kisses April Mikey shouts out "way to go Casey! 9.95!"
Dirty Numb Angel Boy That was Donny
I stand corrected!
This song was in the ending credits of the 1990 teenage mutant ninja turtle movie. This is how many of the true TMNT fans knows of this song.
I had the soundtrack on tape
I DID TOO! now i have it on CD XD
I used to just rewind the TMNT VHS tape in the ending credit just to listen to this song

This song fit perfectly with the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie. It just did.

Can't find it on spotify!
Is there nowhere to buy this song? Not in apple music or amazon music.
Turtle Power!!
How come this is not on ITunes?
Why the hell isn’t this song available on iTunes?
Brendan McClelland right? Turtles is on Netflix, and I went to download the song right after the movie....
March 30th 2020. Happy 30th Anniversary.
Nostalgia - sometimes is not bias...TMNT 1990 = 99.5% - comic book movie of all time.
This was a Boom90s damn!time has passed
Is it just me or are the singers in the video lip-synching to a completely different song? Absolutely love it though.
I used to love this 😂😂😂
