Wing Sung 3411 Fountain Pen Review

Here's a new offering from Wing Sung. The Wing Sung 3411, listed on Ebay as the "M2 Transparent Clear Vaccum [sic] Fountain Pen." This is a decent pen although with room for improvement. But for the low price it's worth the buy.

Cloning the cloner!! This is a clone of the Moonman M2. The M2 was one of the first Chinese pens I bought back in 2019 and thet're still available today. As totallylegit2068 mentioned; the Moonman is made of a crystal clear turned acrylic and quite a nice pen considering it's $15-20 cost. The nib is a standard No5 set into a nib unit (same as the one used in the Mini Wancai). It's a bit stiff but is a solid writer, which can be replaced with other No5 nibs. The original M2 had a simple red aluminum band and surprisingly was very original and is quite popular in the comunity. It's when the Chinese brands began stepping up their game in quality. They later came out with ones with aluminum sections, but I would recommend the 1st version which is 100% demostrator.
Here, I believe Wing Sung is trying to steal some on Moonman's mojo with a cheap injection molded plastic copy of their pen. The nib also looks like Wing Sung's clone of the pilot style nibs.
If you like the form factor, you won't regret adding the Moonman version to your collection.

seems like a moonman m2 copy. the one with the end of the body being a solid piece is the original, its turned acrylic instead of injection molded. the original moonman is far nicer and i dont get any leaking/burping problems with it as the acrylic is thicker than the clone.

@totallylegit2068 it seems like these Chinese companies change hands and name regularly. Majohn and Moonman, for example. On some pens, you can find both of their names.

@@thepenman357 moonman is the main offender for this, they went from lecai to moonman to majohn.
