Hello and thank you. At one point it has #20 text right after it has #13 text alone, with it being more video of car #13. Car #20, the Bill Swad car was there, it was the Withers Bros car that was racing, that is car #20. Thank you for all the videos.
Thank you I was trying to find a guys phone number that knows everything about the SS AMXs I have spoken with him once and for the life of me can’t remember his name
What is an AMX "SS"? I know what Go Pack options were, and have a basic idea of Rambler naming conventions, but I've never heard of these. Are they like the Ford T-Bolt and the Pontiac Tempest that they did just to drag and not really for street use? I know you could special order some pretty crazy stuff like Edelbrock performance manifolds with an AMC part number to compete as "stock". Anyway, thanks for preserving and sharing this footage. AMC's have become quite the rabbit hole for me these past couple years.
American Motors built 52 SS AMX to compete in NHRA in the SS class ford had the 428 cobra mustang GM had the Camaro AMC only did it in 1969 the dealerships mostly raced them with records recorded they tried a front end update but the old suspension didn’t fly with NHRA SS class so in 1970 they went to a different class and raced that way for years
Great video! As a 69 AMX owner I can say that was 32 minutes of pure bliss!
Thank you be looking for a video on AMX 3 coming soon

The rarest of AMC is the AMX 3
Should do one on the concept car with a rumble seat. It’s in Kenosha. A true history would be cool. I know a lot but not everything.
Great tip
