I really appreciate how thorough you are with your documentation, especially because this is such an extensive modification. With all this info, someone could realistically replicate this. I considered something similar to an old Camry, using the powertrain from a Celica GT4/Alltrac. Alas, that car is no longer with us but, this vid lets me know that someone is living the dream
I have a built boosted EK coupe with a LS turbo and I've really been interested in going AWD. My buddy and I were literally just talking about this the other day. Props on staying with the single cam brother. I ran a boosted stock internals JDM D15B VTEC and on 6 psi it made just over 200 whp with ARP head studs, Cometic MLS head gasket, Gates Racing timing belt, and some other small mods besides all the forced induction parts. I went LS for more torque and right now it's tuned on 15 psi and makes 408 whp. My best friend is still running my D15B turbo in his EG coupe. I have always loved EFs. I can't wait to see this build!
Crazy how yrs later all this is being used and the wagovan parts is money right now. Also b series awd trans is still $700-800 bucks. I'm going d16 awd for 750hp. Using a 99 Hr-v awd 5spd trans though. So that is a d16 hydro awd trans that uses b series transfer case and uses the same shifter cables as cr-v also shifter box. So I can use a k tuned billet tsx/b series awd shifter box. That trans bolts up to a d16 the bell housing.
It's hard to believe nearly 23 minutes have gone by. Your videos are great. You have a real nack with cars and explaining your methods while behind the camera. Sub'd and looking forward to more!
im most definitely a fan of the single cam d15,d16 and zc out of the aprox 10 ef's ive owned only one has been dohc, but man.... for this i feel it would be more cost eficient and less labor intensive to just use the b series from the cr-v.... and just transfer everything to the ef... good job tho! never give up!
Looks good. But you know that you can buy the drivetrain out of a Civic fiero from Japan and just build the motor. It would all be bolt on. I was going to do this to my 94 eg d16z6. Found the parts easy on eBay. Also it was cheap too.
@@joseamaya3352 I was thinking of installing an Element Engine already coupled to its own native transmission. The question will be the rear differential and the engine mounts which may have to be custom built.
Would a B20 with a manual AWD CRV Trans fit in a '99 Civic sedan? I ask bc the stock engine in a 2000 CR-V is a DOHC B20 non-vtec. I want to do this so. But the mounting of engine to trans is kinda more than i want to deal with right away... Are you having the trans mounting issues to your D16 turbo engine, bc you're using a D-series engine and not a B-series engine? I was wondering about this after watching your vid. Great vids btw man!
I have an 05 honda civic c. (value package - automatic.....) I want to make it into a drifter. Can you recommend any good transmissions, engines, drive trains, maybe unnecessary parts I can remove to make it fit better, etc? I'm researching as much as I can, but I'm still not 100% sure what to look for.
i am doing the same thing. but i am using all CRV drive-train pats. why did you decide to go with the wagon rear end? aren't the gear ratios different?
I got the transmission from HMO but there sold out. Hush performance should have a few in stock and i had to drill at tap holes on the trans and engine block to get it to bolt up
gotta say I love what your doing to that car but I think it's so dumb to have the exhaust pipe come out of the hood it's loud as he'll an to me just begs cops for attention
Finally, someone who did their conversion and didn't keep it secret. Now we can all copy cat
I hate seeing great work go unnoticed. Monetize the vids bro. You have great potential to blow up this channel.
with youtube they are likely to demonetize it for almost any reason... great channel btw

Great video
Subscribed for this. Keep posting. Will be watching. 👍🏽
I know its four years late but maybe next time use the front style coil over with the fork for the axle to pass thru. Good job on everything

Planning to AWD my 04 monte carlo ss and LS swapping it.
Check out Justinsane, He did an EG hatch awd conversion and I believe he used CRV parts. Its been a while ago but he might have a vid on it.
This is madness!!!!
Gonna be a mint ride
have you dyno'd this car? what's the whp?
Couldn’t you just use a trans out of a 89 civic wagon awd it would bolt up to that d series wayyyyeasirr
Or a 5 speed manual trans and engine from a 2004 Honda Element EX AWD.
@@myopicchiwawa will that transmission bolt right on?
@@joseamaya3352 I was thinking of installing an Element Engine already coupled to its own native transmission. The question will be the rear differential and the engine mounts which may have to be custom built.
I did the full wagon rt awd conversion to my 88 Honda CRX wish I would have did the B series diff and transmission
Ha, epic tuning good shit. Had them do a few things for me over the years. They're out of business now.
nice conversion bro i want to do the same thing but i want to put a normal b18 integra transmission conversion i think is going to be way easy.
Is this conversion possible on a coupe
Looks nice man.
Awesome car man, but I'd recommend deoxidizing your headlights
Awesome build can u add a parts list
Subscribed, because this shit is cool!
*Vtec kicked in yo*
(Mashamoto ZX tires too)

Justin Sane has a 450 whp awd eg hatch. check it out.
You sound like Darth Vader put some energy into your speech
Was about to comment something about it
Thank you!!!
This guy is gonna get assassinated showing this build we must protect him
Would this work on a crx
18:41 sounds like robot!
I'm wondering if you could do this with a solid axle? Seems like alot less work to me...
Next year im going to awd my front wheel drive 2007 SS Monte Carlo( how did your Build come out??).......
Did your zc intermediate shaft actually spline into the crv front diff!?

Q trasmisión usaste?
i am doing the same thing. but i am using all CRV drive-train pats. why did you decide to go with the wagon rear end? aren't the gear ratios different?
Bad ass bro
I'm going to do this with a 3 gen eclipse
how many whp you put down
Hey! jw, did you use your d16 clutch? does it fit in the crv trans housing? thanks 👌 mean build
If they made civics awd I would buy. I'll stick with audis for now
Why not use the rt4wd trans and rest of the driveline??
Nice wire tuck
I like your channel very informative, btw I wanted to ask what are the specs on the turbo you have on your d series
thanks and its a Garrett gt3076r
Build and parts list maybe ?
@ryanefhatch where you get the one bulb headlights i have been looking for those for years for my 1991 sedan
gascargo passwordjdm sells the h4h bulbs for the jdm lights
Do 4x4 have differentials in the front and rear? What makes this awd without a computer rerouting power to the wheels as needed?
Thinking about doing something like this with an Acura legend. What parts did you need to fabricate?
What year are the trailing arms as well as the other parts minus the trans if u don't mind me asking I'm tryn to do a awd e.g. Hatch 93
Nice
How do you prevent wind up in your setup? I'm curious because I'm looking on doing a awd swap.
hears a question as it is called the whole game that you are
Hey are you still on UA-cam
Would this work with the Honda City type z chassi 3a2 chassi?
Hey man I know a guy who races an Awd hatch and has a daily awd crx u should contact me I could get you some more info
steven Esparza I'm looking to convert my 77 accord. Could I get some info?
THAT VOICE THOEW LOL..
What web sit did you get the transmission and did you have to do anything to the motor?
I got the transmission from HMO but there sold out. Hush performance should have a few in stock and i had to drill at tap holes on the trans and engine block to get it to bolt up
Ar those e.g. finders?
Where did you get those seats at. I've been looking for a clean green/black racing seat for months.
Ryan Odell they're black NRG seats with green Takata harnesses. I picked up the seats of eBay
Yo Ryan I need some info my man I'm currently trying to achieve same conversion in my ek hatch .
Will the rt4wd transmission fit in a ek civic?
Might do this to my first gen teg
Do you have a parts list?
gotta say I love what your doing to that car but I think it's so dumb to have the exhaust pipe come out of the hood it's loud as he'll an to me just begs cops for attention
At 5:47 you sound like a robot!
no billets, just jb weld. 😂😅 (Please don't though, that's a bad idea)
Facts save the sohc
