Could you give me some info on your setup and recomend bait? Ill Be there early january would love to target flounder but also everything but I dont have experience With this type of fishing or in tybee
8+ foot rod. Whiting, drum, and pompano rigs, preferably hand tied work best. Until you get the hang of casting a surf rod, I would go with 15-20 pound mono line. When you think you are ready, 20-50 pound powerpro braid, depending on the size reel you get. I have had good success with the pursuit and fierce series Penn products. Fresh dead, never frozen shrimp is the easiest best bait. Also, cut mullet, live shrimp, live mullet, live mud minnows all work well.
Good one! I went out to Jekyll this past Saturday because the weather was supposed to be above the 70s. Got out there with good weather and the creek I was going to target specks at was muddy as hell. Cold + muddy water = Big Fat Skunk
That’s awesome. Best part of surf fishing is the unexpected rush of action!
Thanks for posting and enduring the cold. Glad you didn't get skunked. Can't wait for the next one. Learning more with each video
Good video. Like to see catch and release of the small ones.
Unless I am gonna use them for bait, 8 inches and under gets tossed back
glad to see you back fishing God Bless
I want to be on tybee one day and meet you. That would be so cool. Love your videos
Awesome video
Headed out for the day tomorrow hopefully we get some luck, if your local would be pretty cool to see you out
Definitely a good day. You should try making fish tacos you get a good haul.
I mike fish tacos regularly. Check out some of my other videos, there's one with fish tacos in the title. Thanks for the support
Have you ever fished the fort pulaski bridge I've been wanting to try it out
I have not yet, but it's on the list for sure.
