The line that always gets me is from the first movie during Harry's first Christmas at Hogwarts. It's the look on his face when he says "I've got presents?!". This poor, abused child finally getting presents on Christmas for the first time always makes me cry.

Everyone goes on about Snape saying Always about his ‘love’/obsession with Lily. But when Harry asks resurrected Lily to stay with him and she says ‘always’ that hits harder.
I think the same thing! It makes me think that Lily watched her former best friend Snape protect and ultimately give his life to save Harry simply because Harry was her son.
I remember watching Chamber of Secrets for the first time with my family and at the end, my brother was crying so hard because he was so happy that Hagrid came back.
Lily saying “Always” in Deathly Hallows makes me so emotional. Snape’s version is very sad but Snape’s motives were never anywhere near as pure and loving as Lily. Having his dead mother who died giving her life to save him is so emotional and beautiful. It’s so comforting knowing that even though they’re all gone his family will always be there to watch over him ❤️
Any moment with Dobby had me in tears, but I confess when Harry was battling Voldemort in the graveyard and his parents and Cedric showed up to help had me in tears, particularly when Harry’s Mum says “sweetheart your ready”.
2:16 it is not just the locket but the fact that Ron is unable to heal (the wounds he got from apparition) combined with the unstable supply of food (since they are hiding in the forest of the dean), the constant guilt of leaving his family alone in the dark times and the influence of the horcrux in the locket. 5 Not just his parents but his whole family.
The death scene of Severus Snape. The prince's tale. The tragic tale of Snape always makes me cry and how Snape's protection of Harry has always been there since day one of Hogwarts.
Oh eah his memories always hit hard. It doesn’t make up for how he treated Harry and co, but it does give it more context and is the last piece in the puzzle.
When Hagrid comes back from Azkaban and thanks Harry and friends * chef's kiss!" Best ending, imo, in ALL Harry Potter movies. I get teary eyed every time
One of my favorite moments of the Harry Potter Film Series was when Hagrid was comforting/consoling Hermione after Draco calls her a Mudblood in the Chamber of Secrets.
Harry Potter moments that us happy cry when Harry’s aunt finally opens up and shares this most heart felt quote “ You didn’t just lose a mother that night in Godric’s Hallow, you know I lost a sister” that had me cry happy tears showing she has a more softer side to her. The forming of Dumbledore’s army of the younger generation stepping up making their alive or deceased parents proud. Those from the original order of phoenix picture Sirius showed Harry. The budding romance of Hagrid and Madam Maxim even though they didn’t become an actual ship though. Neville and Ginny at the Yule Ball together Harry and Ron’s first time meeting each other not realizing becoming best friends and proving that to Draco by saying “ I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks.”
One moment I really like from the books is when Harry gets the golden egg and everyone is cheering super loudly as he soars over them. Also Neville finally defying Boldemort in book 7. I love Harry and Hermione’s dance too and Hagrid coming back.
Number 19..... in the books Ron throws hands with Malfoy more than once, and even Neville at one point joins in. The Ron and Neville vs Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle throwdown in the books would have been a cool addition to the films, and honestly was far better than the Hermione slap. As for numbers 7 and 6. I think the moment when we realise Ron actually *survived* the accidental poisoning is far more important than him saying Hermiones name. And as great as his return was, the fact that he faced his deepest insecurities and managed to destroy the Horcrux should have at least been mentioned. He didn't just return, he came back swinging. And Hagrid at number 4, he tells Harry in the books that he went to all of James and Liliy's friends to collect the photographs to make up the photobook. He didn't just find a collection of pictures, he went out of his way to get those photographs because he knew it would mean so much to Harry. Hagrid is an absolute legend, and Harry should have named one of his sons after him, this is a hill I am willing to die on.

Harry Potter is one of those book series that will make you laugh, cry, shout, and scream all in one story. I loved the fact that the stories could touch all of your emotions while keeping you in suspense long enough for you to clamour for the next installment. I wish they would make a sequel book (not Cursed Child, that doesn't count) that at least shows the full dynamics of the new Magical World. I think a collection of short stories, each one highlighting a specific character, would be a great idea.
“The Starving Games”, parody of “The Hunger Games” opens with obvious parody versions of Ron, Harry, and Hermione. Another character sees them milling around and yells at them that their franchise is done and to get out of this one!
My introduction to the series was the first movie. I was so interested in the series that I went to find the first book. I didn't find it at the library so I went straight to the second book. Definitely a gateway into the series.
Every tone on my phone is Hedwigs theme. I just let it play everytime. :) I know every word and minor nuance of these films, and yet each time I watch it - it is like the first time. :) Fun fact: Professor Mcgonagall is the spitting image of my mother. It’s uncanny. My mum does not love me - at all- so I pretend that Minerva is my mum. I’m happy to say that my mum is a very good witch. And so, too, is her daughter. 💜
I loved when Hermoine punched Draco, but dont forget there's more to Draco than we think. He shows his vulnerable side in the 6th movie. Considering his messed up family and how he was raised, he could've turned out a lot worse.
Another thing to note, Hermione punching Draco is one of the movie moments better than the book. In the book she just slaps him and she was originally intended to do the same in the film but Emma Watson got really into the moment and delivered a more satisfying blow. I for one am wondering how Tom Felton feels about it these days, given that he was on the business end of Emma Watson’s fist. Primarily I want to know if he’s at a point where he could laugh about it like the rest of us or if it’s painful just watching himself get punched.
That scene when Harry and Hermione dances IS in the books ... Where do you think the film got it from? Harry asks her to dance, Harry can therefore distract himself and Hermione
I dont know, if I missed it, but you didnt mentioned THE moment, everyone was waiting for. How could you missed Snapes reveal in the last movie. Come on. In my cinema the hole croud was crying. It was so emotional. And you, as a watcher of all movies, felt guilt because you thought, Snape was a a-hole. And realizing that Dumbledore is kind of a-hole, is the most shocking experiences of all films. Weird that you missed it.
I was so annoyed by Dobby in "Chamber of Secrets" that the scene where he's freed would not appear in my top 20 list. I also have another scene in exchange: the scene where the trio sits together, Hermione says that Ron has the feelings of a teaspoon, and then she starts to laugh and the boys join in. This scene becomes even better when taking into account that it was unscripted. One of the best "Emma, Rupert and Daniel are also real life friends" scenes in the movies! :)
You're perfectly entitled to your opinion and I respect that but just the mere thought that anybody would choose this pointless scene over Dobby makes my blood boil😅.

Losing Robbie Coltrane/Hagrid was the hardest for me. He was the ultimate surrogate dad for Harry. There from the beginning.

The Harry-Hermione dance makes no sense for the series, and goes completely against 2 very solid relationships. That film change was terrible.
