    Deep bro soul deep and gut wrenching video. When you started to cry so did I. I had to write this. The song is so INCREDIBLE. We (my father little brother and myself) lost a wife/Mom to the “S” word (can’t bring myself to say it) back in 2011. Not a second goes by everyday that I don’t think of her. I have a beautiful wife and two precious littles now of my own. My babies didn’t get to meet their grandma Becky, that’s what hurts the most. They would’ve LOVED her beyond belief. She was such a people person everybody loved to be around her because she was so loving and compassionate to all. A true heart of gold. ( that’s where I get it from) Life isn’t fair but it’s not our place to question why. The hurt will never go away but I still have pictures and lots of memories of her that mean more then anything to me. May god bless anybody going through or who has had to deal with depression. I’ve been down that road myself in the lowest of low deep depression, it’s definitely not a fun place to be by any means. Thankfully I woke up one day from my “dark days” and understood why we are all born and put on this earth. We are here to make a difference in someone else’s life that may need help and share the peace and love we all deserve to have, live and understand everyday. There is hope there is no quitting in life, you only get one so be the best person you can be to everybody you meet or see. Life is short as is so live like everyday could be your last but *PLEASE don’t make it your last.* One of my most favorite sayings is from The Crow “it cant rain all the time.” You are NEVER alone. Peace love and happiness to all.
    🍀✌🏼🍀

    I am a suicide survivor. I was 15. I'm about to turn 48 on Mother's day. I had no one to turn to back then. I now suffer from PTSD, anxiety and MDD. I lost my mom and my oldest daughter within 11 months apart. I've come a long way since then. I definitely to hear this song again.

      @@KingFamilyReacts thank you. I still battle every day. But my daughter needs me. I'd say she definitely has saved my life.
      Also Anthem Lights released How Sweet It is video today for Mother's Day. When I tried to take my life when I was 15, no one in my family knew. One day when I was 17, I had an argument with a family member and I blurted it out. And only response I got was "Why didnt you succeed." I battle with anxiety and depression and PTSD now. And when I lost my mom and oldest daughter I wanted to end it all, but I couldn't do it. Definitely have Angels watching over me. 🤗

      This song is also needed for the kids especially dealing with bullying. My daughter is 9 and autistic. She has been bullied especially this school year. And another kid about her age, who lives in our neighborhood, came home from school and was being bullied and took his life. He was only 9. My daughter has come home crying saying she isnt happy anymore. That other kids make fun of her. And it broke my heart.

      @aqhan 3 роки тому +1

      @@debrabusch1090 Trust me on this, I said the same thing as you, a thousand times before. Once my daughter was born, the level of feelings and anxiety and everything else get's turned up to 11. This is not as disrespect to you and what you feel, but what you feel is just a prelude of how you'd react to it had you had a personal frame of reference to the situation, aka imagining this would be your child. And without having one, that frame of reference doesn't exist.

      @@aqhan you are welcome to your opinion, but you are wrong. I will never be a parent, but I know a lot about this subject due to the career path I chose. I have worked with law enforcement, corrections, MHMR, Domestic Violence, etc. I reacted very strongly to this video and this subject. I have stopped people from hurting themselves and others. I didn’t need to be a parent to do that.

    • @aqhan
      @aqhan 3 роки тому +1

      @@newmooreflash8803 Unfortunately you aren't correct and you don't get to tell me that I'm wrong. Seeing something and learning about it is not the same as having an incredibly personal bond. There's nothing stronger than a bond between a parent and a child. Not with partners, not with you parents, not with your friends. Nothing compares to it and everything pales in the front of it. I too worked with kids and parents (for many years) and I can tell you it's nothing in comparison. All you have is empathy, schooling and theories - and it won't make you feel 1% as strong as a parent.

I now recognize when I’m in trouble, and I’ve persevered. I’m 61. I’ve seen my two sons grow up to be wonderful men. I’ve seen my son marry his wonderful husband. I’ve seen my oldest son earn his Master’s Degree, and he’s now the Dean of Students at a liberal arts college. I would’ve missed all this. And I would’ve missed forty years with the love of my life. This song hits home for me on many levels, in school I was bullied to the point where I thought it would be better to just not be here, Since then I have battled depression anxiety and I am still here. When someone reaches out to you please help all you can you might end up saving a life. Homefree is a special breed of singers who know how to get you in the heart. Everytime I hear this song I cry and it takes me back to school. No one ever listened to me and I had to deal with it on my own So i understand all to well.

    Your reaction was so real and pure... I appreciate it 😔 A close family friend that was like a brother...we all hung out one weekend celebrating my nieces birthday. He seemed so happy like always, nothing wrong or out of the ordinary. The following weekend, we got a call that he hung himself from the tree in his backyard 😢😭 His mom and sister lived next door and found him hanging in the morning 😭😭😭 The last thing he said was on FB that he couldn't do it anymore... unfortunately it was in the middle of the night, no one seen it until the next morning. He was "family", why didn't he come to us!?!? 😭

    I love how tenderhearted you are! It's great to see that in a man. Thank you! It's a tear-jerker for sure, especially if you've lost anyone to suicide (my best friend at 21) or even those we've had we love who have tried to. (my daughter several times as a teen) It is a horrible thing to watch and live through. It changes you forever. I so appreciate Billy and Home Free joining together to put out the wonderful song and thanks to all of you reactors talking about it. This is Mental Health Awareness month and the most we put out the hotlines and talk to each other, the better for anyone in need. Maybe some will reach out for help or some of us will see signs of someone who needs us. Or at the least, we can all be praying together for each other! Billy's songs he did when he came in 2nd (should have won, my opinion!) on The Voice are all worth listening to. Beautiful voice and fit perfectly with Austin's! Take care my friend. Keep up the great work.

    All of the Song was done live none of it was pipped in from the original that was Billy Gilman's grown up Voice through the whole song. Love this Version his Collaborating with HomeFree was just, the pure genius, He was so Elated when they approached him with the Idea. I am so Proud of Him and Them what an amazing Video it turned out to be. Thank you For mentioning Billy and all you said. I follow both of them always have and having them sing together Pure magic and this message is so needed now thank you again for the reaction.

    A sweet 17 year old friend of our family's just took her own life a few weeks ago, and there are so many times I wonder, "is there something more I could have done?" Naomi was such an incredible spirit... I wish I could have done something... my own 3 children were incredibly impacted by her passing, and I have had some intense conversations with my 3 boys ( ages 13, 12, and 9) about the seriousness of life and its hardships. Please continue to pray for us. Thank you and God bless you.

    I used to love in a small town where suicide was far too common among young people as well as adults, and while I personally "only" have known one or two who committed it, I know many who have lost someone that way. In this part of the world is not very common using things since they are hard to come by, but there are other ways. I have friends who found several of their/our friends after. I myself thought about it many times, that's why I have dedicated my life to helping people find a greater inner well-being. Every person I work with as a coach is someone important and it's fascinating and so rewarding to see that when they step into their well-being and begin to thrive and enjoy life the people around them begin to flourish too.
    Thanks for a great reaction! Such an important topic. 🙏❤️

    Never ever is the answer but it's a real reality. I was there when i lost my son. Some days i couldn't get up to go to the bathroom.. i came home from work and wrote my note, was home alone and my first born was at my mom's house, i took my shower and started to sit down at my table to take some pills when my best friend knocked on my door. Thank God for her! 25 plus years later we are still best friends
