ArcIntel could you tell me why the mk wii community is so active?! i mean there are some other great mario karts out there that almost no one rly cares about (in my opinion mk wii is the best)
@@MaoMaster69 Dude MK8DX has been around for over 6 years now, and its basically just a copy of MK8 Wii U which came out 9 years ago. Even when MKWii was still young (first 3-4 years) it still had more depth due to the variety of ultra shortcuts being found, wheelie mechanics, and exploitable physics. But the main thing is that Nintendo basically doubled down in MK8 and MK8DX, adding a lot more invisible walls and attempting to eliminate any possible shortcut that wasn't created by them. They also made respawns faster, you dont lose items from certain attacks, hit animations are shorter, CPU is easier since rubberbanding was removed, etc.
The delay trick on TF isn't done because you can overshoot and fall off easily otherwise; it's because the trick is actually short enough where hopping over the first part of the boost actually loses more time than you gain by landing sooner, and delay tricking also allows you to land on the lower platform with the boxes instead of getting more air off of the previous platform.
One thing I want to add (I learned this for myself as I figured out it was why I was often falling into the lava) you don't want to trick too late (the "delay trick") as you might not get enough air to clear the gap. I found that if I trick just slightly before hopping, I can consistently make the jump or, at worst, I just get a regular trick (which is of course much better than falling in the lava) and consistently getting at least 3-4 low tricks out of 5 on BC3. Thanks for all the tutorials, Arc! 👍
came back to mkwii since i can play retro rewind on pc. these tutorials have been so helpful in my improving, nobody else explains mechanics in detail like this
There’s also another way. It’s basically like elbow grease but on a ramp and you trick off of it. It gets you low air but I don’t know if it will ever be useful.
hai havent gone far in but seeing the content overview, how do i get low tricks on shrooms? sometimes i feel like they throw me high in the air and sometimes i feel like i get no height boost at all totally not asking this to beat a friend on mushroom gorge because yes
Sorry about the reupload, but the audio got messed up, and I want you guys to have a good quality tutorial. My apologies once again

jimmyxoo i don't have ctgp installed i don't know how to do it on the wii u but i have to get my wii then i'll do it
This is mad helpful definitely gonna be practicing these tips!
It’s crazy how much depth this game has compared to MK8DX.
Hell yea
MK8DX is younger. Older games have the benefit of having more time being scrutinized. Younger games have less discoveries, which means less depth.

This will help me in bc3. Failing the those ramps many times, jumping into the lava.
Thanks😄

its y velocity, x is left and right, y is up and down, and z is in and out (forward and back, etc)
I might of found a rare new way to complete a low trick, but it is a very rare sight to see and even more dificult with A.I.
