It's just me, or I'm the only who likes the yellow on this joes? As a child that yellow/orange made me want those toys

I definitely like *this* version of Roadblock (and the 1984 version, which this version's based on, by going back to having merely a black moustache, and to wearing orange trousers, only the trousers are now tiger striped) [if I had this figure, I'd have to use orange acrylic paint, to recolour the trousers orange, and finish the legs with a sealant]. I additionally like his 1986 outfit (this version's a new mould, and has a goatee as well as moustache, and the trousers are light grey) [making there three versions I like of Roadblock].
I'm aware the late 1988 Tiger Force Roadblock wears a dark green sleeveless shirt (all three versions are African-American) [I've already said the colour of his facial hair, above], is tall and slim, and, most of all, is a Joe. Needless to say, Roadblock's first outfit (from 1984) wears orange trousers, and merely has a moustache. Another thing I'd do, if I had this version of Roadblock (and his 1984 outfit) - I'd sand off the goatees (of course, using sandpaper for doing so), paint over them with dark brown paint (the colour of both figures' skins), and finish both figures' edits with a sealant (I'd only leave the goatee on the 1986 Roadblock).
Even though I have never owned a Tiger Force figure of vehicle, I really enjoyed Tiger Force Month. Fun stuff. Thanks for the reviews.

I remember being excited when I first saw Tiger Force. But then I noticed the figures were exactly like the original figures just painted differently. I never had any when I was a kid.

I have said this on other Tiger Force reviews. I really wish they went a little more realistic with this line, and gave them tiger stripe camo themes instead of these colors. but, reasons... lol
In 95 I have this guy & many guys from Tiger force versions ... Hit & Run , Roadblock Tunnel Rat , Psyche Out , Duke , Tripwire , Outback , & Tiger Paw ( Cobra Ferret ) ...
+Jakub Buszko In the US we didn't get all of those Tiger Force figures. A lot of collectors like Tiger Force Outback.

Ever watch Rambo? (as in the 2008 movie.) At the end of the movie he was supposed to use that exact same gun in the exact same way as Roadblock. If you've seen Stallone in that movie, he looks larger than Roadblock in terms of muscles, and he couldn't handle the gun, he couldn't move while firing it and it took too much energy to hold it and steady it. So they kept it mounted on the back of the jeep for the climax of the movie.

I would not be surprised if Hasbro intentionally made the Version 1 and 3 head sculpt of Roadblock to be similar to another New England area athlete. He looks like former heavyweight boxing champion Marvelous Marvin Hagler from Brockton, MA.

I thought I could use tf roadblocks accessories to replace v1 accessories. but they obviously weren't the same. ended up just letting tf roadblock keep his stuff and went on with it. my dad bought it for me at Nelsons drug store in Cambridge Ohio
oh and Roadblock, especially the gray vest version are big figs in the modern line.

I think Tiger Force Recondo looked the best. Except for the royal blue hat.

There is a better real world insparation for Tiger Force. Tiger Force Recon, a special force team used in Vietnam. Tiger Force was a specialized platoon sized unit that branched off of LRRP/Rangers. Instead of doing recon their goal was to beat the VC at their own game. Stalker, and Snake Eyes were LRRPs in their back story. This is the Ranger unit they could, or should, have been in. Stalker would have been the perfect choice to lead GI Joes Tiger Force. With out any yellow in the teams colors.
Edit: I started to second guess my above post, so I did a little search. Sadly Tiger Force has a stain on it's history. Hasbro not tying it into the real one is a good call. Lesson is, measure twice post ponce.
I'm shocked Hasbro didn't assign Roadblock to a Tiger Force vehicle like they did with some of the other figures. Guess he is to much of a bad ass to drive a vehicle.
+magnificentfungizoids I think you want Roadblock out in front with that big machine gun. If he were to be packaged with a vehicle, it would need to be something small and open, like a motorcycle.

yeah,Tiger Force Roadblock's head reminds me of those real elongated skills they found in Peru with very questionable DNA and sutures, you could say they are maybe alien, lol
I'm sad. The end of Tiger Force month. I was hoping you'd review the exclusive to Brazil Tiger Force Shipwreck. That one really strays away from its original while still using most of its original molding.

Great review, HoodedCobraCommander788! I owned the original and Tiger Force Roadblock figures growing up. Roadblock is one of my favorite G.I. Joe characters. I think the Tiger Force version is cool, but not as cool as the original. Like you, I didn't like the yellow striped helmet.I am planning on eventually getting version 2, which I wanted as a kid, but never owned. I have always wondered why version 2 was never given a backpack for the tripod like version 1 and the Tiger Force versions. I was wondering if you knew whether or not version 2's tripod will fit on the peg of a version1/ Tiger Force version backpack? Have you tried this to see if it works? I've thought about getting a backpack for version 2 when I get it, but I'm not sure if it'll work.
Lol. I was the guy who hoped for bazooka but knew it was gonna be roadblock. only you can have me lol at roadblock for twenty minutes. always hated version 1 head sculpt. wished they had updated version 2.
+kero wack The version 1 head. What would I call that shape? Kidney bean? Milk dud? A Tiger Force v2 Roadblock could have been great, but they may have put him in orange trousers or something. You never know. The color combinations almost seem to have been assigned at random.

I honestly disliked most of the Tiger Force toys except for the fact that they brought back some awesome characters and vehicles. even came up with a new pilot for them! hated the repaints on everything but the Tiger Cat and Frostbite.
Great review as always, so after watching all of the TF reviews this month my opinion stays the same. Figures look good grouped together but the color scheme especially the bright yellow of the vehicles will always put tiger force very low on my list of things to get (if I ever get any more) looking forward to next week's review as I'm sure you are lol.

Tiger force missed the mark horribly. It's just my opinion but I think they should have used Vietnam era tiger stripe camouflage. I think it would have been a popular throwback idea. At the time vietnam movies and shows were popular. I think i would have been a hit and possibly sparked a new series of comics or cartoons.
I've already said this in the the first ROADBLOCK review but does anyone notice that version 2 of ROADBLOCK looks like a S.T.A.R.S. member from Resident Evil?

the original Roadblock has a great design...in concept. Horrible figure cause he isn't a heavy machine gunner due to the grip.
