I got this a few weeks ago and I love it. It got stuck on with with the rgb colours but on the instructions there's is a fix for it. Also if you want to completely lock it just do a quarter turn on the battery cap.
Glad to hear you are loving it! I'll be on the lookout for it getting stuck on RGB.... Hadn't heard of that, but I'm glad there is a fix for it. Enjoy!
Oh yeah, I can just imagine how great of a light this would be for that application. I'm glad you got one. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with it.
Definitely! If you like a sheath on your side, then this would ride nicely. The only other light I have close to this IF23 is the Lumintop E05C, but the battery life of this 21700 is so much better that I couldn't even put it in the video!
I think i love that autolock feature. My klarus always run out of batteries because I accidentally fire it up in my bag. Lucky the led its not bright enough to start a fire. And its not a tactical light. Its working light. So that strobe is not priority in this light. U should get tactical light if stobe is your main function
How easy is it to go to full power strobe, to counter dog attack. Having to fiddle a lot to get there defeats the objective. Is there a low light mode on the colours ?
Love the username! You asked a great question. That's what I covered at/around 2:44... You have to double press to unlock the light... Double-press again to go to Turbo... Double-press again to get the strobe! After 3 series of double presses you are now in strobe... Unless you last used the side light and you are strobing the side light in the palm of your hand! NOT a good tactical light. The light mode only has one level of brightness and a double press can bring it up to a slow flash in whatever color you are in. Thanks for asking these questions and I hope this helps!
@@MTNManReviews Yes it's easy to go into anti-dog attack mode! I have the torch today. It is great! I want another! Even in daylight its a shock! The anti dog attack strope is stunning! My only gripe is.... Iike all torches I had that meld RGB lights, it does a great job on Violet and Magenta, but a so-so job on blue violet and Indigo.
@@MTNManReviews Also.... when mine arrived today it came with a rubber ring (and a spare) to waterproof the battery compartment, but I never noticed one on yours.
@Jesusandbible hey, I'm glad it's easy for you! I'm always saying... To each their own! Mine came with the o-ring to protect the battery... I also have spares. I didn't notice the transitioning in colors. Been pretty happy with what I was looking for, but I'm sure if I was needing the colors you are describing then that would be a pain to get to. I'm still carrying the light and using it a lot around the farm and house. It's a good work light and really enjoying it. I did finally have to charge the battery! That's a huge plus... The battery holds up big time! Enjoy!
Why are the comments shut off on the video u did on the firefly E07 ? I’m getting the E07x cannon should be here any day anyway I like the video and I heard that the hank Wang D4, SV twos and D4 V2 have the same quirk on moonlight mode. Maybe they have fixed them now, but I have a few of those lights coming into a flashlight that uses unprotected cells I have mostly all lights, Nightcore and fenix
I love it BUT as a man who walks 2 dogs after dark i like to wear my light on my head . The dealbraker for me is there is no strap included or sold separately to turn this into a head lamp
It would make for a pretty awkward headlamp, IMHO. It's just too long for that application. However....I'm using the Wurrkos HD50 when I take our two pups out at 3-4 and love it! The red option is nice for not waking me up too much, (or so it seems!) ...and I have white spot/flood if needed. A review of it is on this channel... And they keep running sales!
@@MTNManReviews Hi , unfortunately the HD 50 is only available from America or china, which means a long wait to be shipped to Britain . In your opinion what other rechargable light do you recommend ?. As a walker who walks in total darkness I'm not sure how many lumens I need . Ideally I would like a 21700 as I can use my vape batteries inside but would consider 18650 , Also looking for something with a long range beam. My budget is 80 UK pounds . Hopefully you can help me choose . Thanks
If I pay out for "26650 Battery 18800mAh 3,7 V 50A Lithium-ion" is that going to last more than 3x longer than 5000mAh ?? Sorry if that is basic, but I am puzzled why 18800 is often far cheaper to buy.
I don't know of any 26650 being over 6200mAh....it is made by Vapecell. Any company claiming more than 6200mAh doesn't sound trustworthy and I wouldn't get it.
Hello guys PLEASE Can any other Sofirn IF23 owners help me.... My strobe on the spot and side light pulses fast then slow then fast.... IS THIS NORMAL.... it strobes at different speeds ... does yours???? Thanks for helping me
Is it easy to attach to the car hood or it's easy to fall off if you're not careful when sticking it to the car hood ? That flashlight as you said is kinda heavy.
They should have used a stronger magnet on such a heavy flashlight. I can still get it to attach and stay if the metal is thick enough. But a little stronger magnet would have been appreciated. To give an example, it will attach to the side of the refrigerator. I've actually had magnets so weak in flashlights that I couldn't even achieve the refrigerator test! I can get it to attach to places on my truck... Just needs to be pulling up to some thick metal. The issue with my truck hood is that there isn't much thick metal! It'll attach to the side of the bumper, no problem.
@@MTNManReviews I think automobiles nowadays are getting thinner & thinner, I have a Wurkkos HD15 & it's smaller than that flashlight you just reviewed but I still find that the magnet 🧲 could be improved cuz it's picky where it wanna stick. It sticks on the fridge though but slides a bit. I have a cheap Nicron B74e Flashlight that uses an AA size battery & I find it better due to its lighter weight. I guess most magnets aren't strong enough or maybe there's no magnet that's strong enough for flashlights with batteries bigger than AA size. 😁
@bernardtan1 I also have an HD15 and agree it has a weak magnet. The strongest magnets I have found are in Emisar and Noctigon flashlights. They can hold anywhere and are more than appropriate to their size. For a while, when you ordered them, you had to email the maker and request a stronger magnet. He caught on, and now you don't even have to ask!
@@MTNManReviews Those 2 brands you mentioned with strong magnets aren't (I think) sold in my online store where I buy my flashlights. I will try searching Emisar & that other brand maybe it will show up. Maybe those brands are more easily found in U.S. only.
@bernardtan1 try the below link. You'll want to look at the D4K or DW4....those are the best flashlights and headlamp he offers....IMHO. intl-outdoor.com/

I did not see any fix in the manual for it getting stuck on with the RGB colour mode. Could you let us know what the fix is, just in case? 😊
I just got mine Sunday... Wow it's a beautiful torch and solidly built... Sofirn scores another home run!!
That is great to hear! I hope it serves you well.
I have another just in that I'll be comparing to this IF23 and a few others. Stay tuned!
Its been working pretty good for my work. Work at a Theater checking each auditorium. Lights up plenty especially when checking seats for lost items.

great review...i really hope that the side RGB has auto color morphing/changing mode..i would make a great background mood light
Yeah, that would have been a cool touch!
Definitely an interesting light. I really like that side COB light. It’s probably too big for me to carry unless it went in a sheath on my belt.

Light is getting popular..it went up $20 already on Amazon..got mine for 32 and now its like 55..geez.
Glad I got mine when I did, too! They now have a newer version of this light....I'm curious what they changed.
It would be useful when a particular beam output is selected, that a confirmation in a text on the screen.

Samsung 50 E is a better battery upgrade over all?. Then 21700 stock battery.
Thank you..
I haven't had any issues with the stock batteries. I really can't tell the difference between the 50E and stock.
