No one displayed an amount of love and respect for these past celebrities. I agree Richard Simmons was pivotal for kids. I remember staying with my Nan and her doing her work out tapes and it was just delightful. Truly an amazing man
the problem with woman’s world isn’t just the lyrics, it’s that the message they send feels manufactured, not really genuine, too generic, overdone and commercial. + this message doesn’t mean a thing when the producer of the song is an abuser. she chose to work with him, it’s been shown and proved. so she deserves the backlash, even tho we should also hold other artists who do this type of stuff (especially men) accountable.
After you mentioned Shelley Duvall on 'Dr. Phil,' it reminded me of one of my favorite lines from 'Happy Endings': Penny: The only people who can get away with being mean are rockstars or brain surgeons or Mr. Phil. Jane: I think you mean Dr. Phil. Penny: C’mon it’s a PHD. Everybody calm down.
The fact that Shannen's Heather, got the best (Heather) arch in "Heather's," iconic. "Charmed" wasn't the same after she left. I, too, enjoy that she came full circle with her 90210 cast members. 💜 Accountability queen! Literally cried 5/10 minutes straight with news of her death. R.I.P.
I'm not sure what circles y'all were running in, but ever since the Kesha lawsuits, people have been calling out artists for working with Dr. Luke. people gave Doja a bit of a pass because she was young when she signed her deal and clearly wants out of it. everyone else, I've seen people critique them. but particularly with this song, it is hypocritical to make a song about female empowerment when you work with an abuser. it just seems extra wild of her.
That’s why that shit on This is Forty where the daughter is a Lost super fan was so hilarious cuz when that show was on people were obsessed, it was nuts. Haha
I hate that movie. It’s so far from actual 40 year old’s lives. I guess it’s for rich people with spouses and kids who think anyone over 35 doesn’t have sex or has given up on life, and anyone over 25 is “old”. Meanwhile, we are out dating, having fun, enjoying hobbies, and dealing with real issues like discrimination and losing rights.
To Louis' point about the word pissed in the 90s - In the Sweetest Thing, Selma Blair's charter dates an F Boy who spells the word wrong as "Pised" and it's hilarious. I always think of that scene when someone says that word lol
About the old talkshows with random mix of experts and celebs with viewers calling in... I was like: John Mulaney's Everybody's In LA?? Gotta watch that. Love...
Katy really has lost her brand which was quirky lyrics that were super hype + her eccentric vibe. This video is like she did something to get her *mommy makeover body* but that wasn’t what we knew her for in the first place so it wasn’t something we were looking for. Had she taken it more seriously (since that’s what the song is about) and had like a real story then maybe people would have liked it better because then the conversation would’ve been about the seriousness of the video. Also, I think the women that are her age are older now and we’re over that vibe and into getting rest and relaxation. She’d have been better off doing a self care video for the song 😂
My very specific beef with the Faye Dunaway documentary was the scant two? three? sentences devoted to Peter Wolf. They were married for 4 years! Where was his interview, why no “how they met” story? I guess with Liam running the show, he and she just wanted to gloss over that whole chapter and get right to his dad, hubby #2.
Hate to break it to you guys, Taylor Swift released the single of “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” this week. OH JESUS CHRIST Gracie Abrams is JJ Abrams daughter????????
LOVED Richard Simmons & Dr. Ruth - SO MUCH... May they RIP. Also - IMO, Katy has always been awful. My final straw with her was Her & Orlando Bloom kicking a veteran out of his home after buying it from him when he was on heavy medication and recovering from an illness. Nope.
🤣 the old man who was flipping houses that whole summer & made millions off this sale? He never lived there bud, find a more worthy cause little hater 🤮
I have such fond memories of Teenage Dream-era Katy Perry that I may not ever listen to this new song. But on the subject of Rumplestiltskin: Kesha’s final word on her legal battle with Dr. Luke was “Only God knows what happened that night.” That is quite a statement to make after having spent nearly a decade accusing the man of a serious crime! And I would note, the only party in this legal battle who was ever judged by a court of law to have engaged in wrongdoing was Kesha - New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich ruled that Kesha “made a false statement to Lady Gaga about Gottwald that was defamatory per se.” [This was the "Dr. Luke raped Katy Perry" lie.] Dr. Luke seems like a crappy person who took advantage of an artist who was broke and desperate to be rich and famous. Later, when that artist became famous, he embarked on a project to destroy her self-esteem by fat-shaming her at every opportunity. Kesha for her part signed a shitty, exploitative record deal, even though she was represented by counsel and knew or should have known the deal was exploitative. She and her mother eventually wanted to get out of that record deal, and they correctly concluded that the best way to extricate Kesha from that deal was to make a false rape allegation against the party with whom she signed a shitty contract. Chained to the Rhythm is a perfect lead single. She fumbled afterwards, but put some respect on Chained because it is a unique bop.
Shelley Duvall singing "He Needs Me" in "Popeye" is one of the oddest and loveliest things I've ever seen on screen.
Now I’m obsessed with the idea of Stanley Kubrick’s “Popeye”
I thought Robert Altman directed it, so that was surprising.
@@MsJmb1980It was Robert A, who directed Popeye.
@@MsJmb1980Could be Sarcasm.
Oh! 😊 I was sitting here for the past 2 days comparing their oeuvre. 😂😂😂

Truly an amazing man
Shelley actually conceived the Faerie Tale Theatre series and was the executive producer. I just needed her to receive ALL her flowers 🙂
my jaw actually dropped when louis said he hasn’t heard legitimate reasons to get rid of biden
Yes Ira! Brenda and Dylan forever! One of the best TV couples of all time. That run of them in season 1 and 2 before the love triangle was peak TV!
Yes! I was so heartbroken when they broke up! The show was never the same again. I think they may have been the first ship I ever cared about.

I could never reach the microwave on top of that fridge. 😂 OK, … back to the show!

Katy Perry song doesn't make sense because she was actively campaigning against a woman running to become mayor of LA.
I completely forgot about Eureka’s Castle! ❤. 80s kids had the best and weirdest kid shows. Makes a great imagination.
omg can yall pleaseeee take callers again 😭🙏🏾 that sounds so fun
Don't be sorry I didn't grow up with Richard Simmons, Louis. In Australia, we had Dame Edna, Norman Gunston and Humphry B Bear.

Ira, I have to confess I LOVE feeling superior to the people in the plebe line at the AMC concession stand. 😂 👑 🙋🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤩🤩🤩
Morgan Freeman - "Electric Company" check it out!
And Osgood's brother, Elvis, is a super talented indie rock artists. The 2007 album Ash Wednesday is spectacular!

Fairytale Theater was such a standout series!

Woman’s World is not a Ava Max’s song.
t’s a win. If you don’t have haters you ain’t doing it right. This shows she is wining
Sure!
Is she going to get remarried to Russell? 🤣
are they ever talk about KP in this video? I'm confused why it's titled that way
Each section of the podcast is labeled at a certain timestamp. Go to 44.00 minute, that's when the Katy bit starts.

I don’t agree. Let’s see when the album comes out. It looks promising
Popeye was Altman, not Kubrick.
And Duvall didn't win the Razzie, she was nominated and the nom has since been deleted, as it should be.
Drinking Starbucks and defending the Biden administration is pretty expected for Lewis. It’s so sad to see him go down this path.
Oof. A very painfully online comment

This white guy is so smart.
The chapter thumbnails still say "RIP Katy Perry" and somebody gotta fix that 🙈
Bless you Louis, every Democat telling Biden to step down just sounds like a child
