LOL, I knew I would find a John Meadows watcher. Sorry but I'm 61 and have been doing those before I seen anyone else doing them . I also did them before I got on UA-cam and discovered the Meadows channel. When you lift for years you look at machines and bars and wonder if you can do something different with them. And they do work great.
@@freedomring4813 Did John Meadows invent the row, likely not, but he was apparently the one who popularized it. Was Arnold the first to ever do the Arnold press? Doubtful...but history only remembers the one who helped introduce it to the masses. Can start calling them Freedom Ring Rows if you want though??? I'm down.
@@peterchaseify No disrespect to Meadows as I watch his channel too. And when I first seen him doing them about 9 months ago I was like wow ,I do those too and they work.

My buddy and I hit back today and he didn’t know about your workouts even though I sent them to him 2 days ago. We finished off with the high, mid, low dumbbell rows with 3 sets. Will update in a day or 2 but my back is smoked. Appreciate the vids and the humor.

Found a new exercise this week... a variation of lateral dumbbell raise... disgusting trap and rhomboid pump... destroys me... love it at the top of the movement, I hold them out and squeeze it backwards for a second...
I just tried the first workout from the 30 day program and fuck that's hard. I thought I could curl 25lbs but after trying with the form from the videos and actually going to failure, I ended up having a hard time curling 8 lbs, but it feels so good now
@@victorperez2939 For 20 bucks I think it's good. It's basically what you see on his videos, he tells you about some exercises for one muscle group per day and makes them harder so that you want to crap yourself and die.
Ryan, love your content and appreciate your time brother! On the one arm row I also use a seated calf raise machine. I drop the brake off and go all the way to the floor and up.
That pull up he did can be the best assisted pull up without anything.Maybe this will be my savior until I can do a proper pull up.Much love for sharing 😢
Perfect Landmine....i think will try the LV or Channel Bag she had to have so bad, and threw in the bottom of the cupboard. Nice workout....its trashed me!
Ryan seems like a guy who can appreciate the move that actually helped me grow my traps immensely. The flipside is it f*cked up everything else as well. I did rack pulls as my last exercise of a back day for a while HEAVY. Not light, because the purpose is to put immense stretch to my traps and the plus side of rack pulls is that you can move way mire weight than deadlifting on the highest part of the movement. Sets of 5-10 depending on gow f*cked my lower back was and pushed them to failure, 5 or 6 sets. It WILL grow your traps. It'll also make your entire back hurt if you do them properly. Like REALLY hurt. The next day the weight of a t-shirt can actually hurt your traps. Highly recommended 5/5 the next day is a lighter day.
Absolutely love your videos. To the point! Long enough to get the important info. Was hoping you have helped someone before who has narcolepsy becauseI have Narcolepsy, I am pushing myself as hard as possible. But damn some days just completely suck. I’ve set a goal to drop 50 pounds while adding muscle by end of April. I’m down 15. Definitely could use some of your motivation! Look forward to more of your videos!
I don’t have heavy dumbbells to do the 3 versions of incline dumbbell rows, but I do have a landmine and can do the landmine row (aka Meadows row), work the upper back and rear delta, and superset by changing upper arm angle and turn that into one arm T bar row to work the lats. Will try that in my next workout. 💪🏽
Question, can I just call it the Swezey row considering that I'm 61 and have been doing them for years way before I got on UA-cam and only seen Meadows doing them on UA-cam a year ago ?
@@freedomring4813 haha, you can call them anything you want! On the other hand, if you want others to honor you by naming a movement after you, you better work harder to get as jacked as the Mountaindog 🤣
