These cars holding up resale value really good, within 500 miles from AZ and CA, 2016 models are 28k for base and 32k for F sport, mileage about 20k miles. Maybe it's because of low miles for a 3 years car? I still deciding between IS 350 or GS 350...same price though for a 2016 model. What do you think buddy? IS 350 is smaller so it's faster? pretty much same 306 hp and 311 hp for those.
I bought a used 2017 IS200t F-Sport in September 2018 (Gray Exterior, Red Interior) 15k miles with navigation for only $27,500 (was around $45k new) & has been an incredible car so far especially for that price.
khoiquach The difference between the is350 and gs350 won't be the power and the speed that much. It would be the handling. Depends if you prefer more space and comfort ( like in the E-class, or the blend between comfort and handling, like in a 3-series, for example).
@@alvarezz7986 Congrats! These cars are such a huge steal of a deal now due to popularity of suv's. Rain Santiago I do wonder though just how much more advanced an internal combustion engine can get? Technology from what.. the late 19th century really? It seems car companies are focusing more on infotainment tech but then again this doesn't have CarPlay so..
Alumnikiid the Aisin 8 speed is not as bad compared to the ancient 6 speed but of course it's no ZF transmission, DCT nor PDK but for DD its more than adequate enough.
The thing that really bugs me about the styling is the side view. That Nike swoosh by the rocker panels is just weird looking. I do like the way they drive. Great handling and road feel like my G37 daily driver. Too bad they made the Q50 a numb steering mess. Not much out there to buy in terms of luxury sport sedans if you don't want German. Love the way German cars drive, just don't wanna buy one and pay for the repairs after warranty expires.
Q50s maybe, havent driven it but the base Q50 is a not nearly as fun to drive as the G which feels much more raw and tossable. The base Q50 feels like a luxury Camry.
Matt, great review! Very thorough. I appreciate your complete analysis of ride quality, and hope you keep assessing that in future car reviews. Best of luck, and thanks again for the content!
I want this car so bad now, but the 350 F-sport model in RWD & the main reason is the red leather. I built one on the Lexus website recently & it came out to $49k & $46k truecar.com price, expensive, but would be a big improvement in many ways over my current $31K 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6 which I've enjoyed for the last three years, but been wanting a smaller more agile car with a few more features such as cooled seats & a better audio system. The one in my Camry sounds OK, but could sound a lot better. I listen to music all the time while driving & The Mark Levinson system would get the job done no problem. I've sat in a IS 350 F-Sport & it's a lot more snug than my Camry, but still enough room for me & I'm 6'0 & I kind of like that more closed in feeling.
I ended up buying a used 2017 IS200t F-Sport which I got for a steal! 15k miles, gray exterior, red interior, for only $27,500 (was around $45k when new)! I originally wanted the IS350, but the turbo engine has plenty of power for me & is very smooth & quiet. A lot of car for the money, especially a used one. I originally wanted the IS350, but the turbo engine has more than enough power, costs less & gets 4 MPG better. These cars aren't going for much money right now in the used car market cause most everyone wants SUV's / Crossovers. I see 2016/17's IS's priced between the high $20's, low 30's with low miles.

As off-putting as this Catfish / Spindle grill was at the time, the new Bimmers have a face only a Mother could love. LOL And this is coming from a Bimmer guy...
This car is slower than the 4 cylinder 3 series and sips more fuel. The 6 cylinder 3 series will absolutely murder this car. All while getting better gas mileage.
For some reason the reply shows only in my email from Jee Vang with regarding to fixing 3x constantly. It does come with 50K and 4 years warranty as well as maintenance, so any repairs and maintenance are free during that time. Then yes the maintenance is more expensive. It's the price of german luxury and worth paying as you'll see if you get a change to drive one. As for reliability I don't have any issues and many BMWs go over 200k miles with no problems. Lexus needs to up their game, they had to discontinue the ISF because it couldn't compete sales wise with the M3 (nevermind the video where the M3 blew up racing the ISF lol)
It says on Lexus' own website it's 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. vs. 5.5 for the BMW. The 340i x drive is even faster at 4.7 seconds for about the same price. Lexus website: www.lexus.com/models/IS/specifications/is-350-awd#engine

Couldn't stand the stupid UI with mouse or the hugeeee bump in the footwell. It got annoying fast in just a test drive
You look like martin shkreli
Ya'll came for 9:12
As off-putting as this Catfish / Spindle grill was at the time, the new Bimmers have a face only a Mother could love. LOL And this is coming from a Bimmer guy...
kinda pathetic that Lexus doesn't offer LED turn signals on a $50,000+ car
To bad a Q50 is better (imo) looks better it's faster and its comfy
Would love to know your option on comparison of the rc350 (2015 you test drive) and is350 from a performance standpoint.
IS is a little quicker because RC chassis is too heavy.
We have the same name
Would never buy a Lexus that isn't an F-Sport model...
only buy the "F" model not f-sport
F-Sport is just for looks. No performance gains. I wish the digital dash was standard, but that's probably the best part of the package. :(
I would never buy an F-sport lol. I'd get the "F" model which is actually performance based and not as much looks
Well yea...your 467HP to his 329? And you're about 100 pounds lighter? Sports car vs passenger sedan...
well he challenged me so
This is actually an extremely rare car. All 350's are f sports 2017 and newer
I love your videos dude, but your thumbnails make me so fucking angry lol
Clorox bleach
haha why? Is it the finger guns?
Big Lenny Junior lol just the way he stands by them
The finger guns and the way he's standing and moving his arms. It disturbs me. LOL
Clorox bleach who cares honestly
sillymoons oo me nigga, and obviously you since you had to comment, ya bitch :D
Sexy car in black. Nice Review. Thank you
2nd gen is is slightly faster seems like
This car is slower than the 4 cylinder 3 series and sips more fuel.
Lexus needs to up their game, they had to discontinue the ISF because it couldn't compete sales wise with the M3 (nevermind the video where the M3 blew up racing the ISF lol)
jleung7 F sport is night and day better(0-60 under 5) . This model shown is awd, mostly made for people who drive on the snow.
It says on Lexus' own website it's 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. vs. 5.5 for the BMW. The 340i x drive is even faster at 4.7 seconds for about the same price. Lexus website: www.lexus.com/models/IS/specifications/is-350-awd#engine
This is for the F sport, same 0-60 www.lexus.com/models/IS/specifications/is-350-f-sport-awd#engine
Ummmm no. The gearing on the is350 is like
No other. Your statement is just not true😂
