I'm not sure what to say about this review. As a long-term fragrance collector, I think some of their best fragrances are masterpieces and they are multi-faceted. For me the best ones are Epic(extremely complex)it evolves as time goes by. Other loves are Memoir, Lyric and Rose Incense. If you are a real fragrance enthusiast, you will appreciate these complex bombs. This is what perfumery was all about in the 80s and Amouage brought it back. Unfortunately and sadly it seems that they will be watering things down after Christopher Ching's left. Tired of everything being sweet and flowery and I am a lady. Real fans out there, get your amouage bottles. There's still time!

Dia is my favourite but I love aldehyde scents, I finde it extremely classy, elegant and chic. I find Ciel dreamy declicate, romantic and watery, really beautiful perfume.

Amouage Beach Hut woman is wildly misunderstood and unappreciated. It smells like the beach. The real thing. Not fake coconuts and absurd flowers. It’s sand, salty air, driftwood and seaweed washed up on shore. Old wooden docks and boats tied to the docks.
I love it. Reminds me of home. I will pick up a backup bottle.

Hello, Maria, you make such beautiful and complex reviews, yet very enlightening :). I watch your videos for some time, I also loved your reviews on Histoires de Parfums, I picked some small bottles based on your opinions. So now, after this video, I'm very curious about Sunshine. I smelled some time ago Lilac Love, I loved it, but I will try a decant first. Thank you for the tips! :)

I don't like another and softer, I feel like I need to buy back ups of my favorites before they become basic and watered down. Bracken is the only one I don't know where I'd wear it to, I'd still wear it. There are other brands that are friendly, I like the unfriendly sillage. I've only gotten compliments. Amouge is for people who don't give a care. I'll cry if it's changed. People who don't like Amouage loudness can go get some other brand. I feel culture shouldn't be watered down to suit people. I'm Jamaican and I'm watching my culture be watered down to fit American culture and its sad. Nothing wrong with American culture but if everyone starts melting into one thing, where's the diversity?
What amouages do you enjoy?
I Love Lyric, Memoir, Interlude and of course Gold...Oh Gosh Gold ! (and a few others!) my nose may well be out of fashion but these are for me mmmmmm...I always feel different/unique, though I admit I do think you need to consider the rest of the room at times! as it really can hit the crowd!
For me if you love sunshine, you will love epic too. But i prefer epic the most. What a compliment getter! You’ll get noticed when you wear it 🫶🏻 if i wanna feel comfident and classy on a specific day, epic is the one i reach for.
Hi Meliora, thanks for the vid and your unfiltered opinions :) I admittedly have a simple taste and am determined to find Amouage that I love (I see them on a good sale often), so far without luck. I shall try Sunshine, Portrayal and Chrimson Rocks (these sound appealing to me), wish me luck! :)

I really appreciate the effort and knowledge that goes into making a video like this and including more than just a read-off of the fragrantica notes and an "it's wonderful" - and I thank you for it! This (and part 1) represents a great overview of some of the better fragrances from a brand that is both fantastic and polarizing.
My personal favorites are the "man" marketed versions of Sunshine, Enclave, and memoir but I haven't had the opportunity to properly sample more than a half dozen or so of the brand's entire set of offerings.
100% agree on epic.unforrunately for me is sharp piny scent which is masculine. I dont know how to layer to make it work for me
Braken has been a true shock for me too, I can't stand it neither understand it. It's definitely different and crazy in a way.

Чес слово, сегодня только носила dia на прогулку, ничего олдскульного не услышала (мне 28), только звонкие альдегиды и фоном цветы. Очень в настроение. В Москве -20 и сугробы по плечо)) Априори погодные условия играют роль. В климате Флориды, наверое , рука бы даже не потянулась. Dia кстати новодел, очень красивый.
На полке также имею portrayal, ciel, epic - всех люблю. Epic в старом выпуске- запах церкви и детских воспоминаний. Ciel старый с немагнитной крышкой - водянистый, уникальный весьма, приятно на лето. Думаю новодел был бы тоже ок. Portrayal - запах чистоты, белой выглаженной рубашки, обожаю этот сладкий жасмин с табачком, жду весну с ним. Interlude был пробник - совсем не сладкий для меня, смутили обильные специи, тяжеляк. Лирик - нелюбимая роза(( В очереди покупок honour и love tuberose. Знакомство с jorney оставлю на осень
Ciel Woman is also the favorite that I’ve tried from the house. I actually like Lyric Man also but it’s a bit too deep for my taste most days. As for Sunshine it was the osmanthus that I later found I disliked, and the tobacco didn’t let up on my skin, it was just too much. When I tried other osmanthus fragrances I realized why I couldn’t fully enjoy Sunshine.
Lyric woman is much much better. Even men think so.

I cannot recognize Dia at all, the way you describe it, its like you are describing a different perfume. It is an extremely soapy scent, with an awful lot of different flowers but the overall vibe is clean and ozonic as much as aldehydes can be ozonic. Nothing like no5

Dia is my fave, doesn't remind me of #5, it smells like a powdery vanilla on my skin. Bracken smells like fermented fruit to me, I like it, I don't know where I'd wear it to. Interlude is my favorite of all perfumes. It's so completed and I mostly get dried fruit, which is good for me cause I hate those Juicy fruity perfumes. She is a BEAST. It didn't smell sweet to me at all, it was just dry. Sunshine is basic to me, pretty but nothing special. I like Beach Hut a lot, I got it in a decant from Scentbird, I couldn't understand why it was so hated. Ciel makes me want to vomit, it smells like cucumbers on my skin.

I've got Interlude and it's my favorite. I don't smell it as a a gourmand, in fact in Fragrantica the notes are wrong. It doesnt have so much fruit as they show. The main notes are honey and inmortel or everlasting flower. Memoir and Fate are also my favorites with Honour. Not so favorite are Ciel, Beloved and Myths.

My favourite amouage is portrayal Woman but at 42, I don't feel Woman enough for it yet. I am yet to find a wearable but interesting amouage for me
trust me you will be ready at 45... in the meantime maybe try Fate woman ?

I am wearing my scent split 2 ml sample of sunshine woman.
It's beautiful on my skin. Nothing groundbreaking but I love the warmth and so creamy and I'm getting whiffs all day. My husband even likes this one.
